I read its already on pre-order in the US. So we should be seeing the Messiahs in the market soon enough.... estimated price is 12,600 yen, about RM400 w/o shipping and handling?

Supposedly lots of metal parts too... altho is primarily speculation.

I read somewhere that it is speculated that bandai might do 1/72 for scale model and 1/60 for DX. However when I saw a pic taken at some show in Japan, the poster behind the model clearly stated 1/72. But they showed 3 different units so I assumed they were fully transformable... u know la, how they like to display the toys like that to show full transformability....... anyway.... 1/72 or 1/60 not like I care..... I STILL WANT ONE!!!! muahahahahaha.....

Oh one question for everyone, which head design is best of all the VFs designed? I think best design is still VF-0S. the Yf series kepala macam pelik2 sikit.....the messiah kepala also a bit funky.....

mcsiaw, I feel sorry for you man. I guess that's the reason why I never wanted to buy direct from hlj. Sometimes, the local vendors might be a little expensive but worthwhile cause, if got problem I can always go back to the vendor......

I do think its broken hmm.gif . I mean I don't own a 1/48 VF-1 but looking at the first pic posted, you can see the pin clearly (which I think ought to be inside some plastic, which in turn must've been "chipped").... In this case, I'd agree with william7..... superglue..... just make sure you don't glue the plastic to the pin considering that whole pin part is meant to rotate.....

I still feel your pain though.... its never the same once its broken..... cry.gif .... no more "virgin" adi....

I read that the 1/72 scale from Bandai will be perfect transformation..!! I can't wait. Its way cheaper and easier to customize. I hope it will be good from Bandai coz I know their MG grade Zeta ver 2.0 is quite firm the transformation. I hope this will be a wonderful kit!!

Its less than half the price of the Chogokin so with this I can buy more and come up with different color schemes rclxms.gif This is gonna be awesome!!

0300078, thanks for the pic!! Seems like the 1/72 scale model is turning out to be really nice!!

Ehhh? Got 3 scales arr? The 1/100 is Chogokin also ar? Actually the 1/60 can consider quite cheap already. The 1/72 scale model even cheaper. This 1/100 must be cheapest?

Now got headache rclxub.gif I got 1/60 SV-51, my aircraft scale models all are 1/72 and my MG are 1/100. I suppose I'll get 1 of each scale then? Good idea ar? haha... 1 for Macross comparison only, 1 for Gundam comparison and 1 for "real-life" scale model aircraft comparison? hahahahaha

Maybe the next item I should get is a bigger table first....

Here's some pics of the upcoming 1/72 scale model. Looking quite nice.....

yup old old models of Bandai all not so good! But this 5 years time, Bandai has greatly improve their model kits line, u can see so in their Gundam kits, like how magnificent the Zeta v2.0 and the latest Gundam v2.0 and Zaku 2.0 has become.
*
I truly agree with this. I have the Zeta and MkII ver2.0 and honestly I've not seen any other company that has invested so much into refining the art of plastic mould injection technology and techniques. Detailing as far as Bandai kits go is also quite OK. I read some people say that Hasegawa kits are much more detailed than any other kit in manufacture and I agree that Bandai cannot fight this, however I think Bandai has "adequate" details to their kits.

I have a Toynami VF-1J and a Bandai VF-1A. They both have that metal piece for the hip-joint as well. Honestly I think that is where Yamato models will excel over bandai and toynami. At the end of the day, I think the VF-25 will be the proving grounds for Bandai. If they can make the VF-25 an awesome model (for all scales and lines), I'm sure they can "re-make" the older VFs and challenge Yamato's benchmark.

By the way, does anyone know where the VF-25 kits will be manufactured? Coz Bandai makes all their gundam kits in Japan (I think). So the Macross should be the same right?

Hmm IINM, all Bandai model kits are manufactured in their factory in Japan (they didnt need manual labour for their model kits;their model kits manufacturing processes are majorly done by their machinery). Only their product that requires prepainting(actually not limited to Bandai also;other company that produce prepainted products usually the same) like their action figures are made in china (cheap labour cost there).
To summarize, VF-25 model kit will be manufactured in Japan, while VF-25 chogokins will be manufactured in China
*
If this is the case then I will not be worried about the quality of this kit. The precision levels on all my gundam kits (some dating back as far as 8 years ago) have been always above-average if not excellent. Wow, I really can't wait. The kit is announced to be launched on Sept 18 but I probably won't be able to pick one up until after the Hari Raya holidays. I'll bet Bandai's factory will be something interesting to see, the automation of everything at least will be a real experience.

Here's a request, maybe someone who plans to get the kit might be interested to help on this. When you get the kit, perhaps you can scan the manual and post it here? I'd really like to see the assembly instructions. If they're not up by the time I get mine, I'll post it instead biggrin.gif

Very nicely displayed...but sadly too small la..but really worth the prucahse for that price.

the new VF-25 only comes with the plane only.

Are you refering to the 1/72 scale? I'm told that Bandai will release 3 different scales.

1) 1/60
2) 1/72
3) 1/100

The 1/60 is categorized apparently as a Chogokin while the 1/72 falls under the "Scale-Model" category. The 1/100 is grouped under "Action Figures" (I dunno the difference between this and the Chogokin, maybe in terms of detail and build quality....).

It has come to my understanding that Bandai has announced that all three scales will be FULLY TRANSFORMABLE.

Personally I'm looking forward to the 1/72 scale kit. I've placed my pre-order and I'll be writing a review on that..... biggrin.gif

hmm is it a new armour or custom paint job form someone?

i havent receive any new order list from yamato.

This is a custom job from one of the members of another forum, not something new from Yamato. Its one of a kind and you'll never find it anywhere. Talk about custom huh?
