1/48 scale seems to be going strong but... Yamato still milking the VF1S Fokker, now reissued for the umpteenth time and also another reissue weathered version. I am thinking hard if the weathered version worth it.
The 1/60 Monster is a mustlah. It did not do much in the anime except during the daedalus attack maneuver. Most time it was cannon fodder. The robot looks nice and will complement the konig. I am going into debt oledi, need to print more money liow. 1/60 Yamato VF1 price... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Jason |

QUOTE('62jaguar @ Mar 13 2008, 08:01 AM) I also got some coming... can't wait!!QUOTE('62jaguar @ Mar 13 2008, 08:01 AM) That's make 2 of us waiting QUOTE('62jaguar @ Mar 13 2008, 08:41 AM) yeap..betul betul..same goes with the 1/48 DYRL.. 1/60 Macross Plus and Macross Zero are all perfect transformation. The 1/60 YF19 is really good but the fins are a bit fragile, now waiting for 1/60 YF-21. The old 1/72 is perfect transformation also and its an OK toy to collect. I find it small and the plastic is a bit fragile. Early versions have a lot of QC problems especially with the paint. Later versions are much better in this aspect. But why bother with this when Yamato is releasing an all new 1/60 scale? Just hoe the QC at the China plant don't let it down. and also want to add 1/72 and 1/60 macross plus also can consider perfect transformation as no need to detach anything to transform...correct me if i'm wrong... I previously had some problems with the 1/48 VF1S Roy and 1/60 SV-51r Ivanov... ho hum! Jason |

I am looking for preproduction reviews and comparisons with the 1/48. If anyone come accross such a review please share here. My guess is that its the same transformation and details, just miniaturised. But the bonus is that it comes with the super and strike parts. In addition, it will be in scale with the other 1/60 from Zero and Plus...SOme piccies of the upcoming 1/60 by Graham from Macrossworld... QUOTE(boyarque @ Mar 21 2008, 01:28 AM) jason, correct me if i'm wrong, but if vf-1s is scaled down to 1/60, wouldn't it be significantly smaller, toywise, than the other 1/60 from Zero and Plus? Or do u mean in term of real life size? . Also, I have previously owned a 1/60 non-perfect VF-1s and it is really small compared to its 1/48 brother. To those who finds 1/48 to big physically or financially, 1/60 vf-1s is an excellent alternative. I am all for making the Yamato Macross toys more accessible to all. The 1/48 were quick heavy on both the hand and on the wallet. Reality check.... Valks never existed in real life.... at least not in my version of reality... maybe u live in another reality Jason |
