Century is a leading provider of supply chain solutions in Malaysia. Further dissecting the business segments, integrated logistics is the bread and butter for the Group which contributed to 72% of FY14 revenue. Oil logistics provides ship-to-ship transfer for both fuel and crude oil in mid-sea and contributed 18% of FY14 revenue and 37% of the operating profit. The remaining 10% of revenue came from the procurement services, which assembles electronic and electrical appliances.

Top 10 customers include local established names like F&N, Mondelez (formerly Kraft), Celcom, Press Metal, and Hartalega. We believe that the FMCG-oriented customer mix is favourable to CENTURY due to the resilient demand of food and beverage products.

last time Unker Gark said Century huge exposure to ONG

But on closer inspection of its Annual Report and analyst reports...F&B is FMCG baru main contributor, though OnG is QUITE significant too...

Will this news have major impact in term of business relationship? hmm.gif

Century Logistics: Gets RM22m letter of demand from Nestle. Century Logistics Holdings has been slapped with an RM21.6m letter of demand from Nestle Products SB for purported losses and damages. Century said its wholly owned subsidiary – Century Total Logistics SB (CTL) – received the letter at 6.30pm yesterday. Century currently manages about 2m sqf of warehousing space. It said that the demand from Nestle was “baseless and unsubstantiated”. (StarBiz)

sounds not bad too for this company prospect.

But as usual, I don't undertstand why company like to borrow $$ to invest in capital then give out dividend shakehead.gif .

tongue.gif u study too much finance book liao laugh.gif

seems like interest cost> dividend to me but want make shareholder happy tongue.gif Doesn't matter not important at all.

Something caught my eyes here

Note 15 Interim Report 30 June 2015

For the financial quarter ended 30 June 2015, the Group's revenue and pre-tax profit were RM76.287 million and RM15.504 million respectively, compared
to revenue and pre-tax profit of RM71.045 million and RM8.342 million respectively for the corresponding period in the previous financial year. The increase
in revenue by 7.4% was mainly due to the higher activities of the procurement logistics services segment. The increase in pre-tax profit by 85.9% includes the
gain on disposal of a commercial land amounting to RM10.784 million.

The increase in the Group's receivables during the current reporting quarter were mainly due to the sale proceeds from the disposal of a commercial land
which was received subsequent to 30 June 2015 as well as the increase in revenue of the Group's procurement logistics services segment.

hmm...maybe not as impressive as it seems this quarter result? smile.gif

From what researchers say, condom sales grow at annual rate of 8-10%. Of course, Karex may grow faster than average by eating into market shares of competitors. And, in MYR term, its growth would be even higher.

But Karex's PE is over 30. If we use PEG formula, it certainly looks expensive.
