The dude was getting sued by his mom / sister when around the same time the incident occured... so it could be a combination of events. You don't just go off at someone like that for just one mistake... I think professionally, Mr. Christian didn't know how to keep his cool. I understand he is in an emotional scene and all but seriously, to go off like that as if the DP has been bugging him all day long.

Wow. Awesome pics!

Lol at the whole Christian Bale yelling thingy, download the MP3 and use it as an MP3 alarm clock sound... or ring-tone.

... driving on the highway and saw the giant Terminator Salvation robot. Wow, it looks awesome, and from a distance, it really is scary with the giant evil look... super size!

32% on Rotten Tomatoes ? I heard someone say its better than Star Trek ? Lol... that probably is something thinking Star Trek "can't be the best movie of the year" (yet).

34% on RottenTomatoes... question is how does this translate to us ? A typical action-flick worthy of a 6/10 or 7/10 ?

Was expecting a really decent score. Hmm...

Probably watch it next week.

Just watched it. I seriously think it is flawed. I expected a level of greatness with Bale and McG working together to make it an "awesome outing". Note that I barely remember the first two movies (I was a kid...but I remember 'asta la vista, baby' tongue.gif ).

I'll think about the movie first before commenting. This movie is definitely not heading towards the "good scores" in my book.

Alright here it is.

The movie summary :
A man dies, finds himself resurrected, he then meets others, and then continues to fight. It goes on for the entire film length.

Why ?
Because I barely recall T1 and T2. Yet, I do know about the time travel thingy. "Sent back in time to protect..." etc.

What ?
The movie is decent. Its one of those watch it and forget it films. I was expecting a lot. I was thinking... Terminator rebooted with Bale. I'm wrong.

How ?
The movie fails at so many areas. The action sequences are awesome... but damn limited. How many times did you gasp in awe ? How many times did you feel like you're part of the action ? How many times did you heard the name 'John Connor' ? doh.gif

And...
Nevermine them critics. I felt Bale did a great job at trying to be great. But it was nowhere close to what he is capable of BECAUSE of the movie itself - - Bale really tried hard to do it justice. Sam Worthington was way better. I also felt Anton Yelchin (fresh face noted from 'Star Trek') did an equally great job. Not Bale though. Don't blame it all on Christian Bale, that's what I would say.

Christian Bale
Nope. I feel this film didn't bring out the star he was. At least I was hoping for it. Bryce did well. Because she was given that sort of part to play.

Uh huh...
Final words - - is it worth your money ? Two types of audiences it appeals -> Action flick lovers, and Terminator fans. Casual movie go-ers might find limited fun to be extracted out of it. Might as well stow their money away.

Conclusion
I'll give "Terminator: Pembebasan" a 2 of 5 .

...wonder which scene was right after the "abusive words" fiasco.

...pondering over the movie again, I feel... disappointed. I don't feel enthusiastic at all after the movie. sleep.gif

A good action movie but fails as a Terminator movie ? Perhaps. What I do know is that, it was very generic.

Yeah. This movie is indeed lame on a certain level.

There was this part where John Connor turns to the camera (and the music changes) slowly and says "I'll be back."

doh.gif WTH... was McG trying to put some Arnie in Connor ?

2-hours of freakin "I-am-human-no-I-am-robot-no-I-am-human-kill-Connor-no-save-Connor" crap.

I heard Christian signed up for T5 and T6 ? shakehead.gif

It was average at best. Nothing really stood out.

...and I thought X-Men Origins was worse of 2009. This is heading that way. sleep.gif

Yes, there were many akward moments.

Seriously though, was there a good chemistry between Bryce Dallas and Christian Bale ?

I'll tell you Why Terminator Salvation Failed Big Time

1. The new Terminators look like they were dug up from Michael Jacksons Thriller video. (why the hats, scarfs and clothes?)
2. One-dimensional underwritten characters (They all seemed like robots except for the robot)
3. Unnecessary use of the catch phrase “I’ll Be Back”
4. Arnold CGI cameo
5. The plot.
6. Explosions, explosions. Nowhere cool compared to Transformers (Bay = Explosives expert)
7. I swear I heard Bruce Wayne's voice.

8. Its by McG, a director with a ridiculous name. Put that aside and he's even more ridiculous.

Thanks a bunch. Hope to get a new appreciation for the movie, which I still adhere with my score of 2/5.

He will not be fighting robots, he will be fighting for political rights. He better start working out since I heard he has lost most of his Mr America muscle.

It's a trend. Reboots, remakes, 're-imagining' of the original story. Most of the time it doesn't work, but sometimes it could. Most fans would like the original to be untouched / left on its own.

Initial reviews saw this at 0% in RT.

Now its a super high 17%.

tongue.gif

Still very early but it is not looking good... sorry Arnie.

It might still be very successful at the box office.

Watched it recently, a really decent action flick! tongue.gif Well sure it is not 'Terminator 1/2' level, but sure as hell was fun to watch. And Sarah Connor...Khaleesi... the cutest Sarah Connor ever. wub.gif Arnold is back and he is kicking some serious butt. I had pretty low expectations seeing all the reviews, but it turned out better than I thought.

I sort of read up on the timeline, and Genisys is an entirely new timeline. The 'nod' to the original films and one of the iconic scenes with the thugs can be summed up as one of those some things don't change sorta thing.

Very CGI-heavy, I wished they used more practical effects and animatronics. If they went 'old skool' with the tech, this could have been so much more better.

Trailer #2 - sweat.gif Damn these trailers ruined it. Could have been a really good twist.

Anyways, a sequel to this could be good if they get the story right.

If it was me, I would bring back ALL the past Sarah Connor / John Connor / Kyle Reese actor's (even as a cameo) / show the old footage of them to sort of explain the trickery of the multiple timelines... do a kinda X-Men Days of Future Past thing ; try to cover up the bad films and up the value of them by bridging all the different actors who have played the same characters. smile.gif

Terminator 2019

Linda Hamilton return as Sarah O'Connor! rclxm9.gif

She looks bad ass... good riddance of the dragon queen tongue.gif

So is it a continuation from Genisys?  or direct sequel from T2?
I really hope it's the latter hmm.gif but it seems it's from the horrible Genisys sad.gif

But with Arnie + Linda the old partner coming in, hopefully they can salvage the franchise, or at least let it go out with a bang.

Deadpool director Tim Miller is directing, so that's another good sign, just hope it doesn't has a crappy plot like the previous few installments

QUOTE
Deadpool director Tim Miller is at the helm of this untitled Terminator film, which also has James Cameron intimately involved as a producer. Miller, Cameron, and producer David Ellison came up with the story, which will be a direct sequel to Cameron’s classic Terminator 2: Judgment Day and will ignore the other sequels.

The Terminator (1984)
Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)
Terminator 6 (untitled) (2019)

That's it. biggrin.gif A direct sequel to T2.

Ignoring the other film timelines + bringing back Linda Hamilton = great decisions thus far.

Can't wait!

Nov 2019 is a long way still...

🤔 Hard to say good or not... But Tim Miller did prove himself with "Deadpool"
