The RM50 GST was abolished for all credit cards when the 6% GST on 1st April was implemented. It is now charged on annual fees instead. Since this card has RM0 annual fees, even with GST the annual fee is still RM0 =)
*
Foresee Next from MBB, no more free annual fees card.
Need to spend certain amount to waive annual fees. whistling.gif

Since it still free now. Just keep and use when got chance

Based on past experiences on RM 50 GST, MBB won't waive GST! What makes you think that there'll waive AF. LOL
*

i think quite a numerous of ppl get waive but just keep to themselves whistling.gif

if you post it out, MBB might not waive in future again..

argh, too bad for maybank..

i also plan to terminate the card after august...however, realized that i still have BT, Ezypay and also agoda(pay later)..

just check with the branch, they are not aware of this yet(no more 5% rebate in aug)..

my ikhwan cc application have been rejected twice before this, the staff said that i can convert my mbb2cards to ikhwan, but all BT and ezypay have to be fully settle first...

now, i will wait for all my installment finished before converting..not sure my amex and visa points will be transferred to ikhwan or not...ikhwan is only 1 card right?
*
agoda features applicable for other bank card also well..
e.g. UOB, CIMB

Last time when I terminate a card, just a phone call and they say they will settle everything.
No black and white after that, a bit scare now.

Can we request for some formal letter actually?
*
actually you not suppose to terminate card via phone call to CS..
you suppose to go branch and terminate it..
then you will get the letter of termination..

but nowadays, people want to be convenient...they force CS to terminate for them via phone call..
and suddenly it become norm to terminate card via phone call.. but bank never implement the procedure properly shakehead.gif

not true for OCBC bank.
when i cancel my OCBC card, i go to the branch but the staff ask me use phone call instead.
the staff say even do in branch, they also help you make the call and you talk to the CS directly.
*
Not sure the staff lazy or what.
By right, you need to surrender the card and in return you will get termination letter.

Do you mean by credit limit plus FD pledging you can get a higher tier credit card?

Actually i have been pledging one month eFD with maybank for quite some time (around 15 months).
I pledge 1 month just because in case of emergency i can withdraw it without much thoughts of losing the interest.
However i think i should put this sum of money to a better return rate.

Anyway back to the topic of credit limit + FD.
Is it true by this way i can apply for a hihger tier card like VS?
For example i have 10k credit limit and maybe 25-30k in eFD?

Do advice
*
not eFD, u need to go to branch to do this..
apply the card as normal, then mentioning your interest to pledge for FD..
then credit department will come back with you how much you need to pledge..
then follow the instruction by the bank

Last month I requested to change my statement date to be on the 30th. My June statement was generated on 30/6, then my cashback was credited the following day on 1/7. In this case, do I still pay according to the statement amount? What I mean is:

30/6 statement generated = RM400 due
1/7 cashback = RM10 given

My statement amount is understandably still RM400, but my outstanding amount has reduced to RM390. Let's say I pay the statement amount and I don't use the card again (want to cut), does that mean my RM10 cashback is gone forever?
*
pay the outstanding amount..
you cannot overpay if you pay via m2u..

any outstanding amount in credit card after you terminate, they will issue cheque to you if they owe you.. smile.gif

should restart a new topic to V14.5 biggrin.gif

topic still useful for healthy discussion but prefer a brand new topic thread (V14.5? biggrin.gif) instead of continuining V14 and mixing the discussion.

just dua sen suggestion

i think we will move most of our activity to ikhwan thread tongue.gif

you are wrong..temp increase also need approval...not surely will get immediately. maybe faster approval than permanent increase.
this happen to me on last few months before i went overseas, i called them 1 day before I went overseas, they advise next time please call earlier to request for this temp increase.
Then, 1 weeks++ later, I only received a physical letter stated my temp increase has been approve...
zzz, but  I am not sure when is the approval date, and I didnt use mbb card during the trip also, I spent all into OCBC cards.
*
letter always come later but the temporary increment will take immediate effect...
the approval just need few hours compare to permanent increase...
