There's no one size that can fit all. It really depends on your usage patterns. Looking back at my own usage of the MBB2Amex card, I spent more on paying for online stuff than for fuel. So I'll most probably replace this card with UOB Vox/CIMB Cash Rebate.

Hmmm I used my cards mainly for bills followed by groceries than petrol. Easily RM 2k/month.

I think HLB wise even with rm160 AF, I can save more but no reward points which previously for Amex is best but now just not really good anymore.

i fully maximise mine and my wife's mbb2amex cb by reloading rm500 into my tng card and reloading rm500 into my aeon big gift card.

For July 2015 swipes all the weekend dates in July still entitle for 5% CB, or its there a cut off date in July?

Hi EVERYONE...

I have to retraced back my statement. A minute ago, Maybank representative called me and CONFIRMED that 5% rebate on AMEX will only be applicable for DINING expenses only STARTING 1ST AUGUST 2015.

Conclusion: Will cancel the card since it does not offer petrol rebates anymore.

For those getting ready to hunt for other cards, keep in mind, chances are other banks might be revising their benefits eventually too, if they haven't already.

it's just that OCBC started it earlier. then now mbb. couldn't have expected the 5% cash back to last forever.

That feels funny but luckily, i re-checked and its not. 
I used AMEX for it.

Already removed la since last Monday but Maybank CS and a lot of insider news already confirmed it will be for dining only.

Time to update first post if it's still not yet.

Oh! My insider news is they are having second thoughts and any decision will be made later, probably at the last minute. Anyway it is better for Maybank to make an official announcement , so that we can hope for the best.

Tell you a secret... One forumer here is the ex manager of MBB card centre. 

Just went to maybank gardens to apply instant credit card, but too bad the 1 hour service cut off by 5pm. So went to Midvalley centre court, saw maybank booth and applied there. Applied ikhwan card and received bottle as free gift!

If petrol I'll be keeping it. The majority of my spend is on petrol anyways

actually any additional category also better than just dining. and the least voted (at the moment) = grocery and departmental are both preferred by many too actually.

Should have one category - Utilities including TNB, Unifi, water etc.

I feel WISE covers regular monthly bills much better than this card, and so I prefer petrol. Also because then I don't have to make sure my petrol topup is more than RM50 (WISE paying online can control the RM50 very easily).
