aiyoyo.....my application to port from maxis to digi was rejected. Reason=new ic number does not match, after i found out, i called maxis helpline to check and my ic no. was indeed correct as per my ic then i called digi again and ask whether they key in my ic no. correctly and it was key in correctly.

nowaday wrong ic number is the common reason for maxis and celcom to abort the porting application by user, so today went to digi in taipan to port again my maxis number to digi, while talking and complaining to the digi cs about the wrong ic thingy, she said this is common, then she told me she tried to port celcom to digi, this case failed 5 times, i just remember 2 reason which is wrong ic number and the next reason really shock me "number is still in contract"-since when prepaid got contract lah CELCOM???????? if celcom use that reason for postpaid oklah........

MAXIS & CELCOM SO KAISU wan meh?

i think too many maxis & celcom user ported to DIGI lah.........maxis and celcom comes out with this ridiculious reason to reject porting application.

To maxis & celcom,

why do your customer still port to digi even though digi do not have 3G and you have better coverage than DIGI??????

Already successful ported to Digi hotlink sim still getting signal? Of your new digi sim get hotlink sms?
*
of course digi sim getting the sms, when ported the maxis sim already invalid. looks like maxis system cannot detect whether you are on digi after you ported, good news for maxis ppl who will call me, maybe maxis will still detect my number as maxis number ...smile.gif

How sure are you of that?
*
i did say maybe right since maxis system did not know that i'm on digi and they still sent the sms.

QUOTE(ben_ang @ Sep 13 2008, 07:58 PM)
how abt those active 10/frens n family work in this port out thngy? since no1 will know if 012/017 is digi or hotlink?
*
just try to add the number and if succesfull mean they are on the same telco as you are, if fail then they have ported, only maxis system cannot detect.....maxis so outdated...smile.gif

laugh.gif after Sept 15th will go DiGi CS port my maxi$. will see what 'ridiculous reasons" given by maxi$
*
haha....

maxis will have more reason with postpaid like....
-blacklisted
-still under contract-previously use by celcom prepaid......smile.gif
-ic not tally-as the number 1 reason by MAXIS/CELCOM

Hope your porting goes smoothly, if not please do complaint to MCMC as soon as possible here....

Wait, telcos got dirty tricks to prevent porting???

And actually, how to prevent unscrupulous telcos from extra charging us ler? I mean, since we'll never know whether the person we're calling's on digi, maxis or celcom. Easy for telcos to add a few cents here and there also right? Sorry ler, the sms scamming stuff still fresh on my mind.
*
here is 1 simple solution, port to digi as digi is offering same rate across malaysia and telco.........smile.gif

cheers....smile.gif

There is a mistake there... I'll do it for free. And for port over from any provider to any provider you have to pay RM10. Read it here -> http://www.mobileworld.com.my/v1/content/view/163/62/

This is a promotion that currently maxis having for a staff to get family member or fren to port over. Its valid until 26 October. Maxis center will call you and if you interested they will send/post you the new sim card to you.
*
haha from RM25 to Free....

not easy to con in lowyat.net woh, maybe got ah so or ah pek walk into your service center then can lah.....smile.gif

cheers.
