Just went over to ioi puchong aeon credit service to apply for watami... Just bring ic.. They will print epf and submit.. expected 3 weeks to complete...

applied watami from ioi puchong couple of weeks back.. today called the branch they said they closed till 23July and will not process my request. I called HQ and they said they are working today but did not receive any forms. HQ was much more responsible and request for consignment/tracking number for the form being sent from branch to track and follow up, unfortunately the branch is closed today.

However an hour back, AEON credit called me, ask some basic questions, said HQ is already processing it, I will know approve or not in a week or two..

So I can tell there is some disconnect between HQ and branch... If anyone can try online or try HQ, i think it might save some time..

My watami application has been denied.. Called up CS and they said based on the application form, they can deny and do not have to give reason.. Lol.. Best part my pbb signature approved today..

Is there a way to get a reason from them?.. I wanna know why denied before reapply or use wife details..

How long between the pbb vs approval and the application for watami?... I might need to have the same time gap around yours..

watami is on a reject spree.. anyone's Watami got approved lately.. kindly identify yourself here... shine some light of hope !

anyone got face this before, applied for watami for my wife.. but received sms for visa gold approved... I have not gone to collect the card and activate it.. i want to call them to cancel..

Anyone tried to ask them to check and reprocess and was successful doing so ?

Quite sneaky this aeon guys.. After some investigation, I found out my wife original cc application form.. They cancelled the watami checkbox and retick the aeon gold visa and co-sign that... On top of that.. Keep saying we are the one whom did it..

I got so pissed.. Compiled all the evidence.. Recorded conversations.. I also say I got a snapshot of the form prior to submission...

Then sent a super formal complaint email to BNM.. Cc aeon customerservice.. Cc board of directors.. Cc investor relation email.. Cc Japan aeon.. Cc any emails that ends with aeonmalaysia.com.my

Yesterday aeon called to cancel visa gold card and reprocess watami.. I also asking for compensation plus want that person who amended my form to have serious action taken..

We as end users need to know our rights.. They cant just step on us... Will update the story.. To be continued...

I suspect the branch officer has a sales quota for gold visa cc... and doing this..

Write in to customer.service@aeonmalaysia.com.my and
cs@aeonmalaysia.com.my stating the branch in officer amend the forms and u want to complain to bank negara..

See the response. Seriously not acceptable.

Update : AEON so called expedited the WATAMI processing after messing with our application forms. MY wife collected her WATAMI card yesterday at MidValley. Still waiting for my compensation though. AEON has escalated to their top management for compensation approval. My target is to get this visible enough to the management for process improvement.

I have an assigned BNM and AEON staff working with us to identify the process loophole and suggest improvements. There is this bunch of unethical employees that change the product info so their sales quota/commission gets full filled. The moment the card approve, they get their commission and the victims are the customers stranded to re-apply/cancel.

I am using WATAMI for my family insurance DDAs and gym memberships.

From the looks of this, all transactions will be halted and we will need the new card number submit DDA forms.

Have to go research which card can take over insurance and gym and then submit new DDA request. Or I can try the one stated here PBVS(5%) > Posonline(-2%). It should be arnd 3%. CC rebates was once so easy.. 2-3 cards can satisfy my rebate needs.. :S
