Wanna ask, considering these 2 cards, Watami seems much better in cash back due to the 3%. What's the benefit of going for the new Gold cards besides premium lounge access?

QUOTE(ronnie @ Jun 19 2015, 09:25 AM) However if that's the case Watami still makes more sense as I would be getting 3%? Unless looking at situation where spending is going above 5k per quarter? In which case a 1% unlimited CB card still earns me more? |

QUOTE(HenryJay @ Jun 19 2015, 10:14 AM) if u using any other 1% unlimited cap rebate cc, u need spend more than 5K per month in order to compete with watami 3% rebate. watami maxrebate in 3 months =rm150 1% rebate in order to get rm150 = 15000/3 months = 5000/month QUOTE(sj0217 @ Jun 19 2015, 10:17 AM) This is not 1%, is 3% Sorry, what I meant was:-Minimum need to spend RM3k per quarter, max rebate RM150 which is RM5k spending Scenario A: Spending less than 5k per quarter - Watami better than the NEW Aeon Gold card in terms of reward Scenario B: Spending more than 5k per quarter - even then any 1% CB card can beat NEW Aeon Gold card. So what for anyone wants NEW Aeon Gold card (except for KLIA lounge access)? |

Hi, planning to apply Watami soon because of Aug 1st Maybank2Kard dying =).
Looks like never been any promo for signing up/free gift right? So I just go apply at any AEON? Is it really need to bring EPF and 6 month payslip? Or provide that later on request. |

QUOTE(jhlou @ Jul 2 2015, 05:14 PM) You just need to go to any Aeon Supermarket/Big and look for their card sales team. Very nice, I think I'll do it tomorrow =) thank youThen they will print out your EPF statement and photostat your IC, fill in form on the spot. Few months back they gave me jusco voucher, i think RM5 or RM10. Finally wait for card approval around 1 - 2 weeks. Card arrival in next 7 days. |

Mine the lady who took my form didn't request the correct documents, so another staff had to call me and request. And then the email didn't go through to their system, so only passed documents today.
Fingers crossed 2 weeks can get =) |

Dear all,
Received my first Watami bill and need to clear up a bit of (my) confusion. Bill date 10 Oct 15, due date 2 November 15, meaning I have to pay up in full by 2 Nov to avoid interest being charged (standard, no question here). But later on in the statement, under the itemized expenses, it has this line - Your card anniversary month Principal <card number> - 19 August 2016 Does this mean my 3 months start from 19 Aug? Because 19 Aug to 10 Oct (my first bill) almost 2 months. Trying to optimize, if this is the case then I left a month to maximize cash back only. |

QUOTE(Sirius @ Oct 22 2015, 02:22 PM) I would like to apply for Aeon Watami, my previous company didnt pay EPF for probation staff, so my EPF record show 0 for 3 months, even I got payslip but I think they might not believe our payslip. Watami one of the more stringent CC (I think you need 6 months payslip), so I would not risk it.Now my EPF start again, I am thinking should I apply now, or wait another 1 or 2 months, let more EPF entry appear only goto apply. Any comment? |

QUOTE(rapple @ Oct 22 2015, 05:13 PM) Maybe. But my Maybank card got approved in July 2015 after the 1st application rejected in March 2015. Oh, no cool down period for you? Congrats =)I guess this is just a guideline only. EDIT: Even if he didn't apply he still have to wait for another few months for his salary slip and epf. Why not, apply now and see what happens. If that's true then yes, may as well try luck. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 2 2015, 02:57 PM) My CL is clear now, I didn't spend a single cent on my Aeon card recently. 12 months don't have 0% charge already if I recall correctly. Now is past the 'golden months' of so many free BT last time di.Only 90% of CL is allowed right? It's already good enough for me. Is there any 12 months BT? The hospital can help to do easy payment but there will be interest, that's why I intend to BT to avoid unnecessary interest. I'm sharing the burden with my sister now, half-half for us. Just hope my dad's insurance can claim a bit of amount as he has nearly used up his quota for this year. Sorry to hear about your situation. |

First time doing BT for my Watami, a few questions:-
Can I round (up/down?) the amounts? Last time I remember maybank BT MUST be rounded. T&C ( https://www.aeonmalaysia.com.my/acs/static/.../BT_TnC_Eng.pdf ) says can pay 'outstanding amount', how do i prove that? Screen shot of current outstanding as well as latest statement? Any limitation on total BT amount? As long as it's within my credit limit should be fine right? |
