Yes bigger, probably what he mean is Bangkok is easier to travel bcos most of the hotspots are efficiently connected either Skytrain or the underground MRT. (Even Chinatown, or even Khao San road although not really connected but u can take the water taxi).

In KL...Lotsa LRT stations not really well connected to main attractions...no LRT to Bt Cave, no LRT to One U/Curve, No LRT to Zoo Negara area, train to Sunway pyramid so far away from the station & etc...
*
just wondering why ramkhamhaeng no skytrain or MRT sad.gif

yeah i agree wit stimix. dont need to change. unless you plan to keep going back and forth from the hotel. otherwise it will just be two trips you gotta take one to go to BKK cbd and one to come back right?
*

Just maintained there-lah..since u already hv the hotel. just abit troublesome of using taxi or tuk-tuk to Bangkok rather than walk& BTS/MRT
Anyway, it's not really that far from Bangkok..~15km away  biggrin.gif
*
15km can reach to bangkok around 30 minutes by taxi?

i think sukhumvit and nana is ok for girls. just dont walk on the one street in nana. i forgot the name already. soi 4? or is if 5? i forgot. but thats where the redlight district is. i walk around other areas of nana and tourists all walkin around no problem.

patpong is probably a big no no at night.

its safe if you look like a tourist. just dont wear mini skirts or short shorts.
*
soi cowboy same like patpong?

you may get a brand new dtac prepaid card once you arrive at the airport.

it is for sell at 99 baht, with some airtime inside, which should be sufficient for your trip.
*
I heard its very hard to get prepaid line there, need deposit somemore, is that true?

It appears to be escalating... I heard the protests have already reached the shopping areas around Siam Paragon, so be careful if you decide to go.

From BBC:

dya_ungu. If I still can remember, u are staying far away from the protester area. Normally they concentrated around Govt offices, & near to Khao San road & also the MBK/Central Plaza area. Not to worry if u are at Ramkhamheng area. The only worry is the airport fiasco just like last year!
*
almost all tourist place is at city centre rite? sad.gif
if the airport close down do we get allowance to buy the new tickets?

*
u going there for holiday or working?
so u decided to go or cancel ur trip?
im worried normally the condition getting worst day by day sad.gif
