Ramkhamhaeng is a university area. lots of student and lots of muslim hawker stall there.... but very far to city and jam too (around 1.30hrs). but i think u can use " boat taxi" to city. 1.30hours to go central city i already book & pay for the hotel at bangkok interplace what do u mean by "boat taxi" ? |

QUOTE(stimix @ Feb 19 2009, 10:32 AM) Just pray hard-lah. & ask the driver to use the Northern Highway & bypass Bangna-Bangkok jam area. U probably wanted the driver to use The Bangkok Chonburi Highway on the North of the airport instead to Bangkok 1st & thereafter to Mo Chit. This xpressway will bypass Bangkok & infact cut the travelling time & distance substantially. (From 40km using Bangna>Bangkok>Mo Chit to only 25KM using the Northern corridor Highway. based on the map Bangkok Interplace Hotel @ RamKhamheang near by at beauty gems factoryThings that cheap in Bangkok = Food (Avg 25-40bath only) & the Chinatown sharkfin, fish maw- cheaper than Hatyai!, local souvenirs such as decorative table lamp, coconut husk souvenirs, shoes & local thai cotton shirt/pants. Things that almost similar to Malaysia =Leather & handbags, T-shirts, shirts), handphone, PS games & imported branded fashionwares Things that more expensive than Malaysia = Electronics (Atleast 20-30% more than M'sia!), Computers, imported clothings, & anything not produced in Thailand BTW, for others wanting to goto Bangkok, try to refer to wikimapia for locations of Bangkok, Airport & respective areas. I attached the link on the maps of Bangkok (Airport is at the far right, Mo-chit/Watthan area is on far left., RamKhamheang is on the midlle far top (Partly only) & Bangkok downtown is on the far left but ~middle area of the maps http://wikimapia.org/#lat=13.7020302&lon=1...=13&l=0&m=m&v=2 heard lots of ppl cheated there...so many scam about gem factory actually what is gems factory do until so many ppl give bad comment about it |

QUOTE(cy97 @ Feb 25 2009, 10:42 PM) I will b going this July too, my second trip to Bkk! Went there August last year. Btw i got my ticket during zero fare and it cost only 180++ per pax two ways. Last trip stay in a guest house just opposite suan lum night market. Not really safe for girl but very near to mrt station. Girls can try to stay places like wat panasonic stay but not nana area..( red light district and a lot of arabs ) The best place for shopping for cheap stuff is still chatucat. Going to explore other place this trip. Bkk is a nice and easy place to go around unlike kl[COLOR=red]..... i tot bangkok is biger than KL, if i found KL road is ok for me thats mean bangkok shd b no prob for me also??? how about sign board at bangkok, is they sign board easy 2 understand? |
