You won't be getting 100% same bass as vs4621 but it is better sounding as it is more responsive.
You can consider edifier r2800 for loose bass or r2700 for tighter bass
is it loose bass is like VS4621 or tighter bass ? because i like the soft bass like vs4621. tighter bass is it totally different kind of bass compare with vs4621 huh !?
for an 8" woofer heavy slow cone it's considered tight among competitors of similar woofer size but if you compare it with a vs4621 with a 6.5" light and responsive loose cone it's somewhat comparable.
I find my S530D is soft and gentle to be considered well blend for smooth jazz and not aggressive type for EDM
You might want to test it with your ears to double confirm as reading will only get your imagination this far.
ya, once i get someone like you recommend me some choice of speaker then i will set few target of it and i will look for those shop with the demo unit and double confirm whether favourable or not. have u heard of Vinnfier and eecan brand ? how about these 2 brand sound quality compare with edifier ?
I was told they are bad in quality but I don't really get any real news in failures. (you can try it. they are not my cup of tea though. they sounded weird)
But vinnfier and eacan speakers are lightweight. Not something I would like in speakers.
i was told that the speaker with heavyweight one has better sound quality because of the shield of the speakers example wooden shield.. so from ur opinion i think for now i will aim for the edifier first until i get better choice in future anyway thanks for ur info
sound is produced by vibration. heavvy weight has advantage so that the enclosure dont shake itself when u play loud. wood is not called a shield, but can reduce internal reflection wave by a little.
actually i know is not so call shield, but i can't find a appropriate word to describe it XD
Hi, looking for a speaker set for a small living room under RM600. Please recommend. Currently looking at Edifier R1900TV 2.0, Edifier C3X 2.1, and Edifier R501TIII 5.1.
Btw only listening to music/movies in stereo. Which of these can go the loudest and are best for vocals? Cause my previous speaker set have very flabby bass and can't hear vocals/conversations clearly.
And I'm guessing the R1900TV 2.0 has the weakest bass compared to the other 2, but are they really that weak?
Hi, do u audition on these 3 model ? what is ur opinion of pros & cons for this 3 model ?
That's a bold move and I do not know the answer to this. I only know that the S350DB trebles are way louder and smoother than the R1850DB slight crunchy trebles
Hi, do u recommend any other option for 2.0 active speakers with sub out option below RM1k ?
Btw, there is a newest bookshelf speakers which is R1855DB to replace R1850DB. They change the tweeter to silk firm and official claims that it is more bright compare to R1850DB but may not as smooth as R1850DB. So i am a little hesitant what to choose now.. S350DB ? R1855DB + T5 sub ?

Hmm..... I think the setup and condition when you demo is giving you wrong impression of the speaker. R1700BT bass is far from achieving the bass that S1000DB able to create. S1000DB bass have more impact, wider and it goes lower hz than R1700BT. Using bluetooth is also not ideal since R1700BT only support SBC while S1000DB support the better APTX.
Have you seen this video? R1850DB is basically the R1700BT just with additional sub output. S1000DB bass are clearly louder and more impact than R1850DB. Use heaadphone to listen.
S1000DB would be better if for music while R1850DB with sub-woofer is better for movie.
Although R1850BT is an upgrade version of R1700BT with only additional sub out option, but there is a comparison between R1850DB vs R1700BT from Digital Stereophony. From what i listen is this 2 model are slightly same sound quality but there are somewhat different in terms of bass and treble sound output. I think probably Edifier do some tune to R1850DB.

I seen that video. Although can hear slight difference but Digital Stereophony said the different is negligible. As he hear the 2 speakers himself I believe what he said.
yup, I also saw these comment at that time, i choose to believe him as well, now i am wonder how the R1855DB sound output compare to R1850DB. Since the tweeter is replace by silk firm tweeter and Edifier Malaysia claims that it is more bright.
