lol, ppl still don't know how WMP has improved. less resources than winamp, free ripping and burning. better interface and vis.

That visualization doesn't exist, it's just Photoshop mock-up. tongue.gif (according to a developer on the Windows Media team)

and you're point is? Many ppl that used RM5 windows can also use this if they learn how to use google properly. and not to mention you don't have to pay anyhting to use it's burning and ripping feature fully, unlike a certain media MP3 player wannabe

you are right but there are so many alternatives softwares on internet, not necessory have to choose WMP to convert mp3 or do some synchroniztion with the MP3 player mah.

Anyone tried it before?

@sototng, vista version better looking, the taskbar is transparent when playing full screen, thus your video won't be cropped

@hean, no. it's lower than 10's usage

noob question, why wmp11 cant play rm format? is it because rm is a registered format or something like that?

for those who want to use the latest Windows Media Player codecs whithout installing Windows Media Player 11, you can get Windows Media Format Runtime 11 @ here (7.7MB)

Windows Media Format runtime is required for WMA (Windows Media Audio) and WMV (Windows Media Video)

@ahtiven, do u have real player or real alternative installed? u need either one for rm playback.

well, i'm using Real Alternative to open RM file in WMP. And WMP will not support RM. Remember that it was REAL that lead to the windows getting into that problem in Europe about bundling WMP in Windows.

Should be 11.0.5721.5145 (correct me if I'm wrong, as my laptop with WMP11 installed is not with me)
