can be used with non-authentic windows?

No. Even if it can, it is not legal

Let's make it clear now before people posting similar kind of things.
- NO DISCUSSION ON "HOW TO GET WMP11 INSTALLED IN MY PIRATED WINDOWS XP"

No worries, I'm not referring to you.

Just as a caution because everyt time Microsoft releases a new software, people will sure ask about the WGA thingy smile.gif

thanks.
another noobie question, how to detect my winXP is 32 or 64bit?
*
Go to Start->Run->Type "cmd"

Type "winver"

Judging from your ignorance, I believe you're running 32-bit Windows XP tongue.gif

You mean the file format icon or the WMP icon itself?

If it's the latter one tat you're talking about, yes, it's the same.

Some people prefers to stick with SP1 ... don't ask why they wanted to stay.
*
There's totally no clear advantages of using Windows XP SP1, but instead

- There's no more support from Microsoft anymore. Means no more new patches, fixes etc.
- A lot of new applications cannot be supported.
- It's unsafe to use.

You might want to read here to understand more about the new features
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsme.../11/design.aspx

For a media player itself, what other new features can you think of?
