Hi all, Hi. Need some advice or suggestion please if you may. Coming from PS4 background, I would like to consider investing into a CPU unit to play FF ARR. I know the more recommended are a laptop, but im personally a desktop person and prefers to use lan cable to play game (old school ) I don't know much of the latest tech updates (My friends do), but just a quick check, 1. will a 2k CPU be able to play FF ARR well? (max effect?) 2. Assuming I don't do much raiding, only need the entry spec, what would be the price range of CPU that one would recommend please? 3. Care to suggest some CPU specs please? I appreciate any suggestion and thanks for helping.

i5 CPU, GTX560 above, 4 GB RAM (just enough use) = minimum effect
maximum effect pls prepare 5k for your rig.
SSD IS A MUST !!!! ELSE U WONT ABLE TO DO HUNTING !!!

Guess 2k aint gonna cut. I tot 2k would be able to get a decent entry level PC. Wishful thinking. ha.

I am playing on a i5 750, 8GB Ram, GeForce GTX 660 Ti, can play max setting with no problem. SSD will help with loading time between zones as well as loading in crowded area. It's more than good enough for end game raiding, so definitely good enough for your usage and you can get better spec than this nowdays.

Don't worry about it mate. Thanks for sharing. I assume 2k will be enough to get about 4gb ram and so on? The reason for 2k benchmark is that I already have a lappy to do most of the company work, email, photoshop aps vids etc. Spending more than 2k on a PC just for FF ARR as the only sole reason isn't want I wish to pursue atm. I will be honest to say I don't do end game at all. Just need a pc for normal content/chil out. Dont get me wrong, the main purpose of SSD is not to reduce lag but to reduce the loading time, during peak hour of hunting, especially S rank, a lot of player will move to same zone and make your PC need to read the disk constantly, hence you need a SSD to speed uo the loading time.

An RM 800 card like GTX 960 can play most games max settings at FULLHD with an i5 with very good frame rates. Maybe 2.6K like that. Under 3K sure no problem. If FFIV can't run on such a PC, it only means one thing. The port sucks...just like FF13. SquareEnix makes rubbish PC ports all the time. This post has been edited by Matrix: Jun 17 2015, 09:02 AM
