Nahh, u won't be able to check the processor batch unless u take a picture of it before u lap it.
How to know it's flat or not?
See how the thermal paste spread lah, put a bit of paste that is on the size of a rice, then fit a HSF on top of the processor, then see how the paste spread out.
That's one of the way to identify either the IHS is flat or not.

Got very large differences between before lap and after lap.
A 5 degrees decrease is a very large drop.
