... just to update info -- BR has no more 4.55% for more than 60 months ... it is only up to 4.5% for 60 months ... looks like branch has not much power to negotiate in anything and only headquarters can have the authority in doing so, or maybe I not "lengcai" enough ... ... thanks for all the replies, guys ... ...

... islamic banking does not allow interest going into any commercial banking saving account ... interest has to go into an islamic saving account ... mbsb is not an islamic bank ... ...

... I mean to say a fully conformed islamic bank ... most banks is only partially islamic as sort of their subsidiary, but the funny part is Affin Bank insisted me to open 2 saving account for Islamic FD and Commercial FD ... they told me that Islamic FD interest can only go to Islamic SA ... I guess it some sort of "haram" issue ... hummmm, not sure then ... banking procedures are at times confusing ...
