Why some installers claimed invertor air con can continue to use old concealed piping of R22 aircon? Only need to connect the joints. Some installers advised not to do this.

Not few times just around 62% at 35degC. At ambient temp 35deg C, R22 is 181.9psi, R410A is 295psi. Our R22 gas piping for 1.5hp was rated around 400psi WORKING PRESSURE.

Samsung aircond not good.
I'm using a 1hp non inverter aircond.
It is cheap, but slow to cold.
It working fine but until 3 yrs later, got bad smell coming out for few seconds every time I switch on.
Call Samsung air cond technician to do chemical wash, but 3 months after the service, can slightly smell the bad smell again.
I asked the technician, he said daikin and York good, Panasonic so so only now, Samsung not good, will headache with LG aircond if got problem due to electronics board/chip problem.

This one ok or not?

My room isn't big. So 1hp is defintiely enough.

Yeah, Non-inverter model is cheaper than Inverter Model. Nowadays air conditioner price keep going up and up.

That's an installation problem, not air con problem, unless the air con is faulty.
Better in what sense? Daikin (GA, formerly York)

Price, Daikin is cheaper
Cooling capacity, Daikin cools down very fast as it goes full power the moment you turn it on with Turbo mode.
Spare parts, Daikin is GA, plenty of parts all over the place, everybody can service

Hi guys.. need a suggestion for my parents living room. Planned to get 2.0/2.5hp aircond as the living room is quite big. Got a quotation for york (r410) latest model inclusive of installation for 2.0hp (rm2350) and 2.5hp (rm2650).. this is non-inverter.

Any other recommendation other than york?

Brand new go with R410 and inverter model
Used with existing pipeline, for replacement, then stick to R22 any more as you wish.

But if wanna save more energy go for inverter is the better choice.

Needed. Did that for my old pipes. Something about their chemical composition doesn't agree with the R410a equipment or vice versa.
