Hey all,
Is there something like a smarthome solution I could use to take control of aircond temperature? Due to WFH, we sometimes have 4 AC running during day time, but some of them always set temperature at the lowest causing the electric bill to choak up. I would like to maintain temp in between 22 to 25 celcius for some of the AC units.

Depending on model some can be retrofit individually (per AC) with wifi module like Daikin or Pana. The hotel room controller type may not work with split AC, most casettes should be able to accept the control signals IIRC, but usually split AC dont.

If ur using inverter then the 16C freezer is not required to keep the temp running..however if power usage is a concern 25-27C will save more.

Understood. Means basically nothing I can do since this is a split unit.

What you are facing is users problem.

User can always reset temp manually unless the App can 'lock' it.

I know. Even using phone with IR can replace the remote control. That's why I am looking if there is any solution to somehow do parental control on the AC.

Hi all,
Anyone has experience using the Haier 1HP HSU-10VQA22? I have the following question to ask.
1. The turbo function will not turn off automatically after 30 minute. Last I tried letting it run for 45 minutes and it's still on turbo. Is this normal behaviour for this model?
2. During turbo, the AC doesn't seem to run at lower temp, just the fan running at full speed. Means I have to adjust temp to cool down the room faster and then set back to usual 25C.
Is there any setting in the AC to change this function? I can't find the service manual on Haier's website.

Sharing my exp with haier vnr 2018 series, turbo mode will continuously run until u manual off. So if u forgot to turn off, confirm will run till morning,
Usually during turbo mode i terus set 16 let run smpi i rasa sejuk and off turbo and set 27c

👍 I tested and it's the same. After I woke up middle of the night then I off it. First time experience with this AC, as previous one all turbo will off by itself.
But with the price very much cheaper, have nothing to complain. Just hope that it can last and can save electricity that is more than enough.

Did you see lower electricity bills with this Haier model?

I do not have other brand AC to do comparison, but this one definitely better than my previous wall mounted AC in terms of electric usage. My electric bill for the past 2 months it only increase by 20+ rm with both AC running like 20 out of 30 days in a month. Im running between 25 to 27 celcius, 6 to 8 hours at a time.
Also keep in mine Sarawak Energy tariff cheaper compared to TNB.
