Why one of my Panasonic inverter Aircon, the remote like not sensitive. Strange thing is this unit is the closest and lowest than the rest yet it cannot detect the remote. Have to really point at the Aircon baru can.

It also makes a noise when the louvers are swinging on their own. Also after it is completely off, it can make a noise like opening or closing some valve.

I told you already, Pana never solve the louvre swing motor over a 10 yrs b4.

Just put some grease on swing motor then solve.

Remote control like KDK or Pana ceiling fan must be point to the sensor then baru detected

But my other units also Panasonic, the remote works fine.

My room Aircon dripped a bit of water last night. Just like 8-10 drops then it stopped. Temp was set at 25C. I felt cold then reduced it to 26C. Is it too cold or not draining well?

Actually i regret going for Inverter. I'm using Daikin.

1. It take much longer time to cool down the room. Don't be surprise may even take up to hours to match same cold by non-inverter. At least for my room it is. Worst now i always full blast it but still not as cold

2. I felt it requires more regular maintenance. The Daikin i have, close to 2 yrs and i've service it 3x. Always due to not cold. But once service, it is better but months later, back to the same. Whereas the rest of my house aircond unit non-inverter, some service once in 3 yrs but still much more cold then my Daikin

3. In terms of saving (electric), seriously no different. Weekdays usually clock 8-9 hrs and weekend easily 16-18 hrs.
Sometimes i felt it is kind of contradicting. We install aircond is because we can't stand the heat. When we switch on the aircon, we wanted it to cool as quickly as possible. By having inverter kind of defeat the purpose since it take much longer time to cool.

So i think those who emphasis alot on cold, better stay away from Inverter. Like cherroy mentioned, A full blast inverter, its electricity consumption is similar to non-inverter.

Somehow i kind of convince that with fixed low speed blower + low speed home fan, i might get cheaper electricity then full blast inverter. So here i'm shopping for new non-inverter aircond and i'm slap with new issue. Gas piping.

As my pipe is "old" pipe, those like time National brand era, and if newer aircond use different gas and required me to change pipe, i'm goner.  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

I used to have a Daikin Inverter using the old gas. Dont experience the problems you are describing. To me same as non inverter in terms of speed of cooling down the room. I think your aircon probably is not installed correctly or no more gas

My current place using Panasonic Inverters. I set at 27 - 28ºC also cold already....

not sure about install right or wrong. how to tell? They told me usually gas will last unless leak and they checked last servicing, i think before or soon after 2015 Christmas and is ok. Just bring down whole unit and clean.

how come u change to panasonic instead of using daikin?

I moved house. New house came with pana inverter. No choice.
Get another air con man come and diagnose the problem. Maybe your room big and Aircon unit not powderful enough or something else

Where is your place located?

Boss, RM9k for a house aircon ?  Sure dun have here la. sweat.gif

If I pay for a normal aircon say, RM2.5k top model and every yrs service clean cost RM300 (Most expensive), and if it can last for 20yrs, it will only cost me 2.5k + (300x20) = RM8.5k.

I still have left RM500 to belanja you TT.  tongue.gif

You want to buy ?

No Sharp brand but I find Jintexelectronics to have one of the lowest prices for air-cond. The basic 1HP air-cond is selling at RM8xx only. Some top brands available are Panasonic, Hitachi and few more. I'm getting 4 units of air-conds from them soon.

what is the cost these days to clean the indoor blower unit and compressor?
my own experience is that they charge according to the hp of your AC.
eg.
2hp indoor blower - around 80-90
2hp compressor - chemical clean - 100
