guys... i have a question. my aircond is inverter type and using new gas R410a as refrigerant. i want to install a false ceiling just to conceal aircond piping shown like picture below. 1) does 3/4 x 3/8 thickness insulation foam will do job enough to prevent condensation? 2) does it need to put into casing/trunk before conceal it false ceiling box? my concern is will condensation leaks happen and causes the false ceiling crack if i use 3/4x3/8 foam and conceal it straight away with false ceiling box?

QUOTE(vandechrome @ Dec 9 2015, 11:25 AM) I plan to install another AC in my master bedroom. The distance between my room and balcony(for condenser) is about 10-15 meters. I plan to install Panasonic AC, and also want to install drainage pump for this unit. the reason is I want the copper pipe to be lay at the edge of my ceiling to minimize the awkward look of the piping crossing from my master bedroom > my second bedroom > balcony. after googling, i could only find drainage pump by York and Acson. if i were to buy this brand and pair it with Panasonic AC, will it cause any issue later on? i use acson easi flo 33.so far no issues with my panasonic ac. using s10rkh model.

QUOTE(vandechrome @ Dec 9 2015, 12:23 PM) May i know where you bought it and how much? from my aircond installer. my house was under reno so he quoted that thing for myr250 about weeks ago. but i've seen those unit installed in several places at my work. i dont think it will cause major issue to the aircond because only aircond waterhose connect to it, not the entire circuit.

QUOTE(leng2 @ Jun 4 2017, 11:29 PM) i have a very low ceiling height, about 9.35ft tall. was advised to do false ceiling to run the aircond piping from two bedrooms and the living room (condo). both rooms are located left and right of the living room. in a dilemma right now, not totally against the idea of false ceiling but because the condo is already very small and i still need to fix the ceiling fan, this lowered ceiling is definitely troubling me. the service yard is located at the other end which is why the recommended false ceiling to run the pipes to save cost. condo owners, what are your experiences? btw, the contractor said the pipes not advisable to bend 90degrees, which makes my options even lesser to run against the wall (which a cove lighting should be good to cover up). do the Lbox ceiling like in the picture. can't really explain to you. let the picture do it
