Is it appropriate to use a 3C 40x00076 flexible cable for 1 HP and 1.5 HP inverters, and a 3C 70x00076 flexible cable for a 2.5 HP inverter?

Shouldn't the standard at least require a 2.5 mm² cable? These two types of flexible cables do not appear to be equivalent to a 2.5 mm² cable.
