My Daikin Super Multi NX is broken now. I've checked the error code and it seems that it is having some issue with the fan motor.

QUOTE(TXSim @ Jun 5 2016, 02:28 PM) Yes, noise present. It was a Super Multi NX. It will go into protection mode eventually.Desperately looking for a skilled tehnician, a technician I found yesterday can't fix the issue. The fan looks wobbly when spinning too. |

QUOTE(lhgoon @ Jul 26 2016, 01:01 AM) The new models are Daikin GA, which is actually the old YORK. The new YORK ACs are now rebadged from Midea or Haier. Thanks for the heads up.The older Daikin is from Daikin Thailand, which is also the original Daikin. Daikin Malaysia does sell the original Daikin, which is directly from Japan. Just that you need to pay a hefty price tag and it comes only with R32 refrigerant. Compare to Daikin and Daikin Ga, Daikin definitely is better but Daikin GA is good as well just that we are used to people saying Daikin AC very quiet and we got the same assumption when we buy Daikin GA AC. But that is not the case, buying Daikin GA AC is actually buying the older YORK AC. YORK AC are not meant to be quiet, it is meant to be powerful and cold albeit slightly noisier than DAIKIN AC. Everything is the same as the older YORK AC except the compressor. You can try to import Daikin AC from Thailand if you want the quietness. There is no doubt Daikin AC Inverter is the quietest among all the other brands of inverter available. You can always ask the AC contractors around. They will tell you that Daikin is the quietest for the inverter range. You are right, I have a few original Daikin AC and they are really quiet. In fact, they are even quieter than my Panasonic AC. Daikin GA is not as refined as the original Daikin. I guess we do not have a choice and have to pay a premium if we want the original Daikin. R32 availability in Malaysia is still an unknown as well. |

QUOTE(michael881 @ Dec 21 2016, 11:51 PM) Panasonic CS-V24RKH Review Discussion Good review and I think you make a good choice. My Pana inverter unit is ridiculously noisy. After reading 221 pages of this discussion I can't help myself to give my 2.6 cents personal review on my new Panasonic CS-V24RKH. It is a Deluxe 2.5HP model with 1 year (blower) + 5 year (compressor) warranty Made in Malaysia. Price paid is around RM26++ (cash) at the legendary and infamous SS2 electrical shop. Buying stuffs from there had been a "pleasure" all these years Installation was included and the installer did an ok job taking apart my old aircon and installing a new one. The 'chief' installer at one point asked me if I want to include a piping vacuum procedure to remove residual R22 gasses in my copper pipping (as the new unit runs on R410 gasses) or I'll risk premature parts failure in future. I consulted my regular electrician cum aircon service guy and decided that I will not go for this RM120 extra service (to have my pipes vacuumed) OK, regarding the new unit: It looked really nice and premium sitting in my hall. My living area is about 22x30 feet ceiling is around 9 feet. The airflow in high is very strong but I find it a little noisy maybe not getting used to it. I was expecting total silent unit which Panasonic is famous for imho. As for the cooling.. It does a very good job cooling down the hall. I played around with the functions IAuto, EcoNAVI, AutoComfort, Silent etc.. The air swing function allows both horizontal and vertical adjustment using the remote control which was damn nice.. IAuto blasts cold air at max fan speed up to 4 hours (I think) to cool down hot rooms. ECONAVI is to optimize cooling using least amount of power. Auto Comfort adjust cooling and or fan speeds to provide comfort to person sitting around by having human sensors in the unit which is pretty cool in theory. The blower unit sits on the wall near to my 3 and 2 seater sofas around the TV. Even with 27 degrees set at lowest fan speed plus Quiet mode was very "chilly" and comfortable. My PC and workstation which are about 20 feet away from the sofas could also feel the coldness. My default setting now is 27 Deg, low fan + Quiet mode. Very silent and comfy. Compared to my trusty 15year old National aircon, this new Panasonic aircon feels like a Mercedes Benz! I considered Sharp and Mitsubishi before buying. Mitsu are going for a higher price with just a basic model and support seems to be less extensive as compared to Panasonic. I have 2 more units of 2.0 HP Sharp Plasmacluster aircon which I quite like but find them not as silent as I want them to be. They are in my master bedrooms and I wish they were more silent.. I have 2 other 1.0 HP Basic Panasonic which had been around for 7 years, still nice and cold and very silent in the 2nd and 3rd rooms. Didn't look at York as I don't have very good luck with them. Every single York I had was leaking after 3-5 years. Maybe the new ones are better.. Hope my new Pana will last me another 15 years peace! Upgrading from my National feel like a downgrade. |

QUOTE(michael881 @ Dec 24 2016, 10:46 AM) Really? I think it is only noisy if you run it at the highest Fan Speed. The problem is the compressor. My Daikin VRV is so much quieter than the Panasonic 1HP.I'm using Low Fan + Quiet Mode most of the time and it is silent.. My new aircon occasionally it does a hissing sound maybe once every hour.. Anyone has any experience about this? The hissing sound is from Nanoe-G feature. Turn it off and it should be gone. It is usual according to the user manual. |

QUOTE(Abuneinei99 @ Dec 27 2016, 11:01 PM) National parts is made in Malaysia or Sanyo factory I don't mind paying more but nowadays even Daikin models are basically localised York unless you don't mind R32. The old Thailand made Daikins are really good. Refined and silent.1.hp for Rm1800 in the old timer Panasonic parts is made in china or Thailand 1.hp for Rm900-1300 for current price Nothing to be complain.. Wanna cheap and good is about there Never try MHI/ME due to the lack of distributor so I can't comment. It seems to be quite good. |

I was told by my technician that my current Samsung AC have the powers connected to the outdoor unit first rather than indoor unit first so I only can use AC with such configuration.
Anyone mind to shed some light about this? |

My Samsung AC just kong suddenly. Switching on the power will trip circuit breaker now.
Planning to replace it with Panasonic R32 Inverter, will it cause any issue with my current R410A piping? No idea what is the dimension of the pipe as it comes from the developer. |
