I'm using it personally and for the price - spec comparison it ticks all the right boxes except "LATEST model" (it is one gen behind the not-so-great economy CKM series).
This inverter goes down to 2xxx btu at the slowest "gear" when it is cold at night. 
5*ST, good cooling btu performance, 2/10 long wty (most others cannot fight except for Midea), inverter R32.

Nowadays for price range comparison mostly either shorter warranty, less btu, etc.. this was launched as a standard series inverter (9700 btu class) not an elcheapo spec one.

above all entry level model. the better ones like FTKU, X-Deluxe, will be 5 stars better cooling power, heavier coils, if u see the spec sheet these are mostly very lightweight (light duty).
GREE latest model R32 inverter also pretty good spec. GREE was top CN manufacturer for many years running, before the pandemic.

this was not entry level. this is the equivalent of the previous generation 330i.

Yup, it should be compared against those in standard series (not economy series) like FTKU/X-Deluxe.

Its not very old as its still a R32 unit..no wifi and stuff but as a cooling device its pretty good that it can easily beat any eco series in the same price range (sub-RM1300) or even the newer CKM economy series (CJ came out, then CKM) that cost more than it.
After that phase out on the CJ probably because too good they cannot make much money on it.

If you want wifi then have to look at X-Deluxe, X-Premium + wifi module and the likes but price wise another level.
Wifi to me is still nice-to-have (not must have), since all also come with remote.

Yeah thats why ask you to grab before this. As CJ discontinued after they launch the CKM series

You can compare btu and price between series and 1/1.3hp.
Last time CJ series hitachi strong player for both 1 and 1.3hp, but comparison wise I think to get best price/performance need to take from 2 diff brands nowadays.

Between economy class FTKF vs CKM hitachi, i think CKM cheaper pricewise for similar performance.
FTKF 1hp cooling performance weak. 9000btu only
FTKF 1.3hp cooling performance ok but 4star.
The better aircons are 5star and high btu capacity for its class.

Hmm they come from same birthplace factory. Both also 4star ST.

For 1hp acson one is rated similarly low end 9k btu but acson one have better reserve capacity for turbo mode (close to 10k btu). The 1hp FTKF is far from a standard contender

For 1.3hp should be very similar performance between these two. I'd say take whichever is cheaper.

GREE latest Queen Inverter R32 spec wise also not bad. Before the pandemic GREE was CN market leader #1 for many yrs. Only during pandemic Midea overtook them from #2 spot in CN market.
Boleh pakai one. I wouldn't mind getting a GREE of that series, but previously they bring in a lot of so-so series (non inverter).

For CN brand do not buy the hey urgh.. that one prehistoric design of ODU.

Hitachi *X10CJ's between standard unit X10 and deluxe SX10 is same ODU, VX10 is premium IDU and diff ODU P/N. Based on 11/32kg weight the VX10 seems to be using a 1.5 chassis (overspec).
This CJ series can say "best in class" for cooling power and wide range inverter, plus long warranty 2/10 yrs (I think only Midea is the only other one w 10 yr warranty), and 5 star ST. It's an underrated gem actually.
There's still some SX10CJ last clearance stocks floating around online.

The CKM economy series variants rather meh cooling performance and 4 star only.
They still list the VX10CJ series as premium inverter.

Daikin FTKU above is better series.
FTKF economy range not worth the price for the badge.

Sharp this series is good performer for the pricepoint. Other series btu rating not that great.

Pana PU9 discontinued and the X-Deluxe XPU is current model. X-Deluxe can almost match Hitachi CJ spec, except wty period.

Mitsu GR series is the better series as well.
