Got a question, the developer installed a Panasonic R410 Multi-split (CS-4U4S34SBH) that supports 3 units of indoor (1 unit 2HP, 2 units 1HP).
If only using the 1HP inside room, the power consumption will still be much higher since no matter how the huge compressor is running?

QUOTE(westlife @ Mar 12 2024, 07:10 PM) this is confirmed... comparing to split type, it will certainly consume more electricity. and it is single point of failure. once compressor is having prob, the entire house has no aircon. so far i hardly see developer gives this type of aircon system in bolehland. normally what can i see the way they save cost is to provide maybe only aircon for master bedroom and living room only instead of all rooms. Yes, I understood single point of failure. But too bad not enough space to convert into 3 single split. And I have been getting mixed answer for power consumption, some say multi-split actually use less power.

QUOTE(Benefon @ Mar 13 2024, 07:12 AM) The standard rate 2800w for 3 units after cooling down. When turn on 3 units at the same time, when is starting boost up was 3460w, 5 sec to 10-15mins after cooling down then back to standard rate @ 2800w. 1hp single unit = 700w 1hp + 1hp 2 units = 1450w 2hp single unit = 1800w 1hp + 2hp = 2800w 1hp + 1hp + 2hp = 2800w I think almost there, if you can find the configuration chart has more detailed Check from the latest R32 model chart , you will understand the mixed power input watts https://www.panasonic.com/content/dam/pim/m...lit-AC-2022.pdfI only on one unit at a time though.
