My room is around 150sqft,using a daikin r410a L series jz installed around 1 month back... I hav been trying to full blast d air-cond when I sleep, means 18 celcius at high speed for few days aid... Not feeling very cold until I feel like freezing... Jz comfortably cold only...
So I am suspecting my air-cond got problem now... Coz I dun think is because of d hot weather... Last time I mentioned dat I heard water dripping sound after 1 week of installation... It will be dripping for a few seconds after 5 mins I switch on d air-cond... Den no more... Could it be d problem?

My master bedroom is facing west,so it's kinda hot & d room gets very heaty after lunch time... Currently d air-cond in d room is an old toshiba air-cond which i think d power onli 0.5hpsince adi more den 10 years old, actually is 1.0hp...
Basically should i go for an 1.5hp air-cond for better cooling? Or stick with 1.0hp is enuf? Room is about 150 sqft, facing west,so after lunch time will be very hot & heaty... From experience, panasonic 1.0hp is not doing so well as when i sleep in d upper floor room for a double storey house, panasonic can reali cold up d room when d whether is quite hot in after, all d heat will come down from d ceiling... So thinking maybe daikin will be better? Or jz go straight to 1.5hp air-cond? Ani advice?

Comparing a daikin 1hp r410a vs a daikin 1.5hp r22 air-cond...
D r410a is quite noisy compare to d r22 unit,i am not sure izit because of d installation or horsepower difference, but seriously i am reali not quite happy with d r410a unit...
So i would say daikin r410a unit is reali not suitable to put in a bedroom...

QUOTE(weng-aircon @ Mar 19 2016, 11:39 PM) If you're using daikin rebrand unit from York then yes. I admit there's sound from the outdoor. But not so noisy. I more aware of the blower as the wind comes out from the vent is a little loud. But I don't blame them cause this spec is meant for strong air flow. I mean d indoor unit bro... Both have strong air-flow... But d 1hp r410a i noisier...

QUOTE(biatche @ Mar 21 2016, 05:37 PM) Considering MHI SRK10YL any comments? my requirements: 1. super silence. dont want vibration or rattling noise. 2. low airflow, yes low. i dont like windchill. or angle it to ceiling or something if can. hopefully dont wanna see too many problems also. I got a mhi d basic unit one, very small cute size one... Feels reali not cold for a 1.0hp unit in a 100sqft room...

QUOTE(panda-man @ Mar 21 2016, 03:03 PM) if the AC is sized correctly for the room, then the inverter will save you more $$ via electricity savings. if its undersized, it will be the same as standard unit. Ic,thx bro... I guess mine is slightly undersize... But not sunlight or heat coming into d room... 1.0hp for a 130sqft room... Most probably will go for a basic unit,as it is quite cheap compare to d inverter one...

Any good 1hp non-inverter air-cond to recommend? Prefer quite good in cooling and less problem if can... Using hisense 1hp now, alwaz need to service(about 3 months once) after 2 years of usage...
