Need help, can someone please recommend me a 2HP air conditioning unit? For living room. 30x18ft space. Daikin seems cheaper but will it eat up A WHOLE LOT MORE electricity compared to my old non inverter Panasonic 1Hp (used for small room)? Would appreciate shop recommendation too, location cheras kajang

is it true that inverter air conds are not as cold as standard air cond? I think inverter is like RM800 more expensive than non-inverter right.

Hi, previously used Panasonic 1HP in room, lasted for 10 years and it was time to change, so I changed to Daikin 1HP, a lot colder, turn off and on all the time because gets cold very fast. It's nice, but one thing I absolutely hate about it is that the plastics will make a lot of sound, even when turned off (especially after turning off, once every 40 seconds will have a plastic sound)


Anyway, now want to put aircond in living room, non-inverter. single story house, so house is actually very hot, very very hot.

living room measurements:

length: 22.5ft
width: 8ft
height: 9fit


aircond position will be at front door there, closer to where people sit.

Now the thing I can't decide is, Daikin or other brand? Panasonic served me well but after about 5 years even with regular servicing it was already struggling to cool down my room. My impression is that Daikin more brute force in cooling (hence the noisiness also)

And also, which coolant gas type should I choose? R410A okay?

Thinking of ordering this, wiring in my house already prepare, 20Amp power point etc, fusebox also prepared. So now just need order unit + pay RM250 (quotation for 2hp) for installation. I think online better, anyone got a product link to recommend? Doesn't need to be Daikin.

1) Mitsubishi Heavy Industries
2) Daikin
3) Mitsubishi Electric

care to weigh in any thoughts?
