wanna ask.. any significant difference between a 4*star inverter and 5*star?
looking at their amperage usage, they're somewhat similar for equal comparison.

so, i believe amperage is not the only factor here, right?

Anyone still using the Daiso aircon filter now?

My Panasonic XPU just 2 months already can see the dust on the blower. So try to apply Daiso additional filter.
After apply, notice the aircon not that instant cool. Still cool, but not that powerful feel compare to without and take longer time.

Wonder any negative impact on the aircon for long term?

Hi, this is the allocated area to fix my 2.5hp aircond. The height seems to be just nice.

Is it a MUST to open up the plaster ceiling above (gap) just to fix the AC? Can't fix as it is?

I'm exploring other options as cutting and re-patching the plaster ceiling is my last resort..

hi, finally my mhi unit broke down after 10+yr. Flashing six times so should be pcb board gone.

My aircond guy recommend me take panasonic if wan inverter, but the cost is like more than half of the other china brand. He said panasonic inverter less problem and more spare parts.

But i am open to option:

My turn. Panasonic AC Xdeluxe inverter, 2 year and 3 month old, error code H11. Outside compressor not running
Have to get outside foreman as panasonic say out of warranty.........kena quote 450 for inside PCB, 650 for outside PCB................crazy price.......might as well get brand new

Hi Jason, saw your previous posts about the major CHina brands AC... Currently considering Haier or Hisense.

Been using panasonic both inverter and non-inverter in my current house, reliable so far but not impressed with the cooling performance. I have to set to 22 degree minimum. Was considering Acson or Daikin but both were really expensive.. And even Acson Reino / Daikin FTKF series I saw some other forumers say not great.

Planning to get Hisense of Haier mid range inverter which is either 4-5 stars rated. Is hisense still come with noisy compressor even for the mid or higher tier? Not sure which of the 2 brands to go with.

I'm looking for 1HP inverter Aircond comparison between Panasonic Deluxe KU9AKH and Daikin FTKU. Pricing almost same. Which one recommended to go for installation in landed house?

I am planning to install plaster ceiling in my apartment, but I noticed most of the residents here have their plaster ceiling cut to accommodate the aircond like this. (sample picture only)

I do not like this & think it's an eye sore. FYI, the aircond is supplied & installed by the house developer.

Before I install the plaster ceiling, can I move the aircond lower so my plaster ceiling will be full instead?

Or moving the aircond lower will require to redo all piping & wiring? hence the reason most people do not do this (more hassle & high cost, etc).

replaced my daikin 1hp for my master bedroom to 1.5hp panasonic x-deluxe. Noticed that the new 1.5hp is not that cooling compared to the daikin 1 hp model. If I set to auto fan it will always blow at minimum level only unless i crank down to at least 22C. Even if I set the fan to full blast by 3-4am the room will be very stuffy and hot.. this is really weird.

another thing, i noticed the temperature sensor is inside a plastic tube. Is this normal or should I cut off the tip part? I'm wondering is it due to the sensor being in the tube causing the air con not cooling

damn... already regret changing to pana, thought it's still reliable. That day I asked the installer, he even tell me to set to 16C.. i was like wtf?? and told me they will charge if ask them to come over check..

Just want some feedback if anyone using Hisense aircond.
