Hi sifus, I am a very light ac user. Seeing that most people are recommending daikin or Mitsubishi, is this brand good enough for my occasional ac usage? https://www.mitsubishielectricmalaysia.com/...ners/jr-series/
*
If for light user, any brands suffice. Less usage, less wear and tear. A cheap 2nd hand popular brand is also a good buy if you know someone is moving house or office.

Hi, I'm planning to buy 8 units of AC (5 inverter, 3 non-inverter).
Narrowed down to 3 choices: Acson, Daikin & Gree (prefer specialist brands).
At first, was interested in the Daikin FTKU & Acson Avory models for inverter but the Gree Queen series seems quite good with extra features like wifi and plasma filter and slightly cheaper. The only thing is slightly less efficient but again, cheaper entry cost (~RM200 savings/unit)
Anyone got experience with Gree especially the Queen series? Or should I just top up for Acson or Daikin?
*
Is difficult to advise as each user have their preferemce brands based on own experienced.

If you ask me, I will go for pana.

And not adviseable to go for mixed brands. Stick to one brand for easy troubleshooting later.

high pressure steam cleaning for aircond , is it good ? seen this advertisment via facebook mentioned , on top of chemical cleaning , they will also do high pressure steam cleaning

'Differentiation' promotion in a competitive market.

A garden hose and some cleaning solution suffice. Not necessary to pamper the air cond.

Regular maintenance is important.

Im not sure if this is the right forum but Im looking to buy 11 units of aircon. But can someone here point m to where I can get the best deals please? Klang Valley only. Thanks in advance

I don't mind letting my regular air cond shop make a little more money but if my air cond has a problem, he will attend to it promptly.

Normally I will troubleshoot my AC unless I don't have the tools.

I bought 1 units 1.5hp Mitsubishi AC JS-13VF model from him early this year. Price RM 2,180.

2 units Mitsubishi AC JS-10VF. Price RM 1,800 each.

Price include installation.

Not sure is competitive as I didn't compare prices. I trust his work.

I am using Pana brands for over 10 years and currently having 10 units.

Words in the market said Mitsubishi is good. So decided to give it a shot.

Which location is better for ODU,like in the picture the mounting got rusted and affected the painting as well. Some houses have porch with no roof on top.

For living room esp open space design with dining and kitchen, buy non invertor.

Invertor doesn't help to save energy bill.

Brand is individual preference.

I have also considered Daikin early this year but decided to follow Mitsubishi. 😀

You must tell here what you have found, then maybe someone here can tell whether yours is the cheapest in town.

I been using this Haier 1.0hp 2* for like 4 years and no issues yet, just that recently changed job and most of the time wfh, used to on my a/c around 4hrs during bedtime.

if i were to on my a/c from 1-6pm for like 5 days/week, is it better to switch to inverter 5* and saving on the tnb bill?
*
Is a tough decision.

If your AC is not giving problem, why change ?

How much is the energy bill increased since you started using more ? RM 30, 50 or ?

Can you live with the new bill ?

Further, there is a break in time usage, so is not a cont 10 to 12 hours where the invertor helps to stabilise energy consumption.

Everytime when you start the AC, it uses more energy to cool down the room and doesn't matter is invertor or non.

Reducing energy bill is not only about invertor or non. There are many other factors.

Hi all, we have a condo apartment with 1 living room and 3 bedrooms.

Living Room
1.5 hp a/c

Master Bedroom
1 hp a/c

Bedroom 1
1 hp a/c

Bedroom 2
1 hp a/c

Since we don't have enough space to install 4 outdoor units in a condo apartment, shall we get a multi-split type of air conditioner with 1 outdoor unit and 4 indoor units?

Which brand and model should we get? Are Daikin, Mitsubishi, and Panasonic good in terms of quality and reliability?

Can someone here point me to where I can get the best deals, please? Klang Valley only. Thanks in advance!

Didn't the developer provide concealed piping ready ?

Yes, but I'm not sure how they installed the refrigerant piping. So, I need to double check with the developer. I guess it is most likely a multi-split type of air conditioner.

Any good recommendations? Thanks!
*
Why don't you confirm with the developer first. Then you update here.

how often need to topup refrigerant gas?
*
If you don't have a cut on your hand, your 'refrigerant' don't flow out and you dont need a blood transfusion 😂

If your body is feeling hot, doesn't mean you are having low or no blood. It will be other symptoms.

Hope you can relate it to the AC.

This month and last month I feel it's been hot or something. The AC have been drinking AC. Even after self cleaning the coils and filters, still using lots of electricity.

Also I noticed even though we use water to clean the coils they still have a layer of dirt. I used a cloth to wipe and there was a layer of dirt. How?

I wonder if it's low on refrigerant. One of my ACs, that room is always quite problematic the AC now is freezing up even after cleaning. The air coming out isn't cool but I see ice on the pipe behind the coils. I don't know if it is the AC or the refrigerant line that is problematic.

Pay for service. Once awhile, the AC requires proper technician.

Hey guys, need some feedback.

My house have 5 air conditioner unit. 3 Daikin, 1 Hitachi, 1 ME.

My problem is with my Daikin air conditioner unit. 1 of the unit break down a couple of month back. It was a 1.5hp inverter that I had for about 7-8 years I think. It was error code U4 (communication error between indoor and outdoor unit). Daikin technician came to check and it cost me RM9xx to replace the outdoor pcb + motor fan+ workmanship. Cost a lot, but because I WFH and really need the AC, close eye just pay. It was a 7-8 years AC, RM9xx to repair is quite expensive but still acceptable to me due to the age.

2021 I bought my living hall Daikin air conditioner because at that time, I had no issue with Daikin. it was a 2.5hp inverter unit. Last week this unit also break down. Error code A6 (fan motor stuck or something). Conveniently, my warranty ends in April 2023. Now I'm not prepare to spend another RM9xx to pay to these sucker again for an aircond unit just 2.5 years old. I feel like they are selling inferior product purposely for it to break down after a couple of years. I will never bought another Daikin again. 2/3 unit break down after a couple of years is not acceptable to me. My first air conditioner (14 years old 1hp non-inverter ME) is still working fine until this day.

So now my questions is
1. Which brand give the longest warranty right now? I just want a piece of mind not to worry it will break down and cost me almost RM1k to repair.

2. I used to like Daikin due to its Go Daikin app. I can link it with my Google Home and have voice control which is nice. So I would also like to know which other air conditioner that have the same capability to work with Google Home.

So basically I'm looking for air conditioner that have the longest warranty + work with google home support.
*
Warranty depends on manufacturers promo.

Usual is 1 + 5.

I bought ME invertor early this year .... 2 + 7 (2 units 1hp and 1 unit 1.5hp)

All my current AC are Pana. I am giving ME a shot after some good feedbacks.

I only buy basic AC. Never a fan of features.

Hi all,

I'm about to move into a subsale condo unit that has been unoccupied for the past 9 to 10 months.
plan to do a basic A/C service (2 units in the living room, 1 in the master, and 1 in the 2nd room).

I got a quote of RM320 from a company recommended by the JMB. Is this price reasonable, or can I get it cheaper elsewhere?

Thanks
*
You have to check what is their scope of service.

Average 80 per unit and my guess is just the indoor unit using canvas and water spray and maybe some chemical.

Without inspecting the units, it is difficult to what type of service is required.

If it poorly maintain, I suggest doing a complete service of both indoor and outdoor unit, i.e. the tech has to dismantle both indoor and outdoor unit to service. Price roughly about 150 per unit but if more units it will be cheaper per unit. You nego lar.

Discuss with the tech first.

You are comparing based on what reasons ? Price ? Performance ? Energy consumption ? Quality ?
