Hi, I'm planning to buy 8 units of AC (5 inverter, 3 non-inverter).
Narrowed down to 3 choices: Acson, Daikin & Gree (prefer specialist brands).
At first, was interested in the Daikin FTKU & Acson Avory models for inverter but the Gree Queen series seems quite good with extra features like wifi and plasma filter and slightly cheaper. The only thing is slightly less efficient but again, cheaper entry cost (~RM200 savings/unit)
Anyone got experience with Gree especially the Queen series? Or should I just top up for Acson or Daikin?

I been using this Haier 1.0hp 2* for like 4 years and no issues yet, just that recently changed job and most of the time wfh, used to on my a/c around 4hrs during bedtime.

Since we don't have enough space to install 4 outdoor units in a condo apartment, shall we get a multi-split type of air conditioner with 1 outdoor unit and 4 indoor units?

Which brand and model should we get? Are Daikin, Mitsubishi, and Panasonic good in terms of quality and reliability?

Yes, but I'm not sure how they installed the refrigerant piping. So, I need to double check with the developer. I guess it is most likely a multi-split type of air conditioner.

how often need to topup refrigerant gas?

This month and last month I feel it's been hot or something. The AC have been drinking AC. Even after self cleaning the coils and filters, still using lots of electricity.

Also I noticed even though we use water to clean the coils they still have a layer of dirt. I used a cloth to wipe and there was a layer of dirt. How?

I wonder if it's low on refrigerant. One of my ACs, that room is always quite problematic the AC now is freezing up even after cleaning. The air coming out isn't cool but I see ice on the pipe behind the coils. I don't know if it is the AC or the refrigerant line that is problematic.

My house have 5 air conditioner unit. 3 Daikin, 1 Hitachi, 1 ME.

My problem is with my Daikin air conditioner unit. 1 of the unit break down a couple of month back. It was a 1.5hp inverter that I had for about 7-8 years I think. It was error code U4 (communication error between indoor and outdoor unit). Daikin technician came to check and it cost me RM9xx to replace the outdoor pcb + motor fan+ workmanship. Cost a lot, but because I WFH and really need the AC, close eye just pay. It was a 7-8 years AC, RM9xx to repair is quite expensive but still acceptable to me due to the age.

2021 I bought my living hall Daikin air conditioner because at that time, I had no issue with Daikin. it was a 2.5hp inverter unit. Last week this unit also break down. Error code A6 (fan motor stuck or something). Conveniently, my warranty ends in April 2023. Now I'm not prepare to spend another RM9xx to pay to these sucker again for an aircond unit just 2.5 years old. I feel like they are selling inferior product purposely for it to break down after a couple of years. I will never bought another Daikin again. 2/3 unit break down after a couple of years is not acceptable to me. My first air conditioner (14 years old 1hp non-inverter ME) is still working fine until this day.

So now my questions is
1. Which brand give the longest warranty right now? I just want a piece of mind not to worry it will break down and cost me almost RM1k to repair.

2. I used to like Daikin due to its Go Daikin app. I can link it with my Google Home and have voice control which is nice. So I would also like to know which other air conditioner that have the same capability to work with Google Home.

So basically I'm looking for air conditioner that have the longest warranty + work with google home support.

I'm about to move into a subsale condo unit that has been unoccupied for the past 9 to 10 months.
plan to do a basic A/C service (2 units in the living room, 1 in the master, and 1 in the 2nd room).

I got a quote of RM320 from a company recommended by the JMB. Is this price reasonable, or can I get it cheaper elsewhere?
