I heard IT ppl from oil and gas company like SHELL got 3 times increment per year. Maybe the reason why their salary hike so fast.

For me, I have been in IT for almost 2 years. Actually the IT job is quite boring, when u have learn and do the same things everyday.

Unless, the things that you been responsible is keep changing....u know...hardware and software keep updated with the new version...and u had to explore it with vendor and so on.

Without this, it's meaningless to stay in IT for so many years.

But the truth is, ALL companies need IT! Because there are so many dump/idiot people around who know next to nothing about the PC. The demand is there, the next thing to do is depends on what smart ways you can have to eat that piece of pie.
