Current, running beta on PS4, pretty good game. Laser, Gun, Rocket/Missile, Magic, Hack n Slash, all in one. Pretty fun game.

Played few games of multiplayer. Too much stuff happening on the screen... @__@

After few hours playing, it's kinda fun when you started to understand the mechanics though.
Matchmaking quite slow. Maybe not much player around SEA.

i played last night, quite fun for both VS and Co-OP

but feel like not fair if Multiplayer VS can Equip armor.

not sure the character balance or not, last night phoebe overkill we all, just with MIKO support, we dunno is armor problem or character problem, she's hard as hell with MIKO support, all aim her still she can survive and kill us.

As for the Gear and stuff, I guess it feels like not fair only for new player vs someone who already got some collection of stuff. But I believe players will choose equipment that suits their play style. So I think it'll be fine as long as the equipment stats not giving too much advantage.

Mine also moderate. But today matchmaking seems quicker than yesterday. So I think it doesn't matter. Probably not much player around while you're searching for game.

You need shards to activate gears, the same shards that can be used to purchase turrets and towers and summoning minions.

Activating gears gives you a buff while purchasing turrets, towers and minions gives extra exp, so someone that spend more on building can level up way faster than someone that spends on gear.

You can also gain gear from playing co-op and single player, so it is not that harsh on new players to gain gear when they join in later.

Tried the beta with zero expectation. Decently fun, really like the humor and 'character' the game has. But balance is a huge mess. With the right combinations it's really hard to lose

I think the balancing is ok, it might be because of being BETA a lot of players haven't grasp how to play properly, given that it's not a typical FPS game.

I really like it, but managed to only play a few hours before the Beta ended, matchmaking can take awhile. Hopefully more players are going to join in. I think I'm going to preorder it.

FYI, you may think it is dead but it's not... it's just that their matchmaking mechanism is stupid at the moment.

Matchmaking follows your steam download region - I switched to US - Washington DC and I get into games quickly.

Of course, latency becomes a bit of an issue here but hey, better than not playing.

I just think we need to organise things to play these games. It's not that there's no one without Vermintide. It's just pub games are dead. But with a bit of planning you can get a group up and do it. Unfortunately not every game is a CoD or Battlefield and smaller multiplayer games will have a tough time getting the player count needed to support pub games.

What I'm saying is that Vermintide had no chance to begin with when it comes to pub games.

With that being said... let's plan a Battleborn session tonight. Timing not sure yet.

I'm going to play Rainbow 6 Siege tonight with the new updates so I'll not be joining.

Yesterday I encounter two matches with possibly hackers or some damn broken glitches that kind of put me off playing again!!

But if we depend on pubs only we wont get to experience many other interesting multiplayer games. We might as well resign to the fact we should just play Cod, or Battlefield, or TF2 or... yes... DOTA.

Multiplayer games very competitive. So us SEA people disadvantaged from the beginning itself due to population size. But you know what... Overwatch. Time to become a Blizzard fan boy. Sorry for hijacking Battleborn thread though. LOL. The irony of recommending Overwatch in this thread.

frags what's your steam? Will try to join you if I can. I dont know about Overwatch though,the gameplay haven't really caught me as much, for me shooters right now, R6S is king.

It is what it is i guess, our demographics despite Asia being one of the most populated regions around, dont really allow it. Heck there was this game, guns of icarus, i only managed to get 1 match, it had huge promise was wonderful but everyday no one play.

No problem with them. The only problem I had was the StarCraft II pricing in SEA when it was first launched. Price gouged by regional distributor.

If you don't want to watch this, basically I found story mode to be a bit boring if you play on normal pub matches. If you got a group of friends and play it on harder difficulty, I can see it being a bit more interesting. Normal is baby mode... I don't know why devs do this.

Clearly it seems to me this game is built for PvP as the main mode. IMHO.

If you guys had tried it, please tell us what is your ping. Does it lag? Can you choose SEA server?

Last I tried it was quite impossible to find a match in local region.

IF you change Steam download region to others (US, UK) with more players you will get a match fast. Ping is not terrible but enough to bug me sometimes

The population issue will no longer be an issue after F2P.
