damn my ipv2 mini mod suddenly autofire. left in the bag....notice all my juice misisng. i thought it was leaking

then i put more juice and change battery coz it was dead, and voila..it was firing even when in off mode.

due to nature of how temperature control works on yihi chips/dna, it only works on nickel / titanium.

guys...issit normal for the resistance to jump around on temp control everytime after u switch the mod on? mine runs +/- 0.03 to 0.05. although might be minimal but it somehow affects my vapor n flavor production.

running ADT50 with a kayfun monster v2. ni200 28g 12wrap 2.5mm firing at 370F. i know on certain mods u can lock it but somehow i cant lock it on mine.

resistance doesnt jump unless u manually press button to set resistance on tc.

and if u were doing that and wondering why its changing, its because the nickel gains resisntance when its heats up.

so to get it working properly, the nickel must be on room temperature level, then only you set resistance to get the proper reading. After that when vaping, press the button.

and of course this is evolv/yihi based chip experience. im not sure what ur artic dolphin running on. so it might be different how it works. someone feel free to correct me if im wrong

mmm i see. you're right but after going tru nearly 1.5m of ni200 wire i cant seem to get it right still.
The TC mode switches between full power and almost nothing when it jumps, so its kinda frustrating that each time i switch it on, i dont get a consistent vape.

well, the chip is kinda diff in the sense u cant adjust the joule nor the watt if you're in TC. just set the temp u wana vape in.

anyway, you can use steamengine to calculate ur desired resistance/wrap. Then when you set the resistance, you have the idea if its exact/close to your target which should seems fine. If its way off the target means the something wrong with tank screws or maybe even your chip fails to detect accurately

does the mod have set resistance function in first place? or its just auto detect the nickel resistance? if it does auto, it might be the chip at fault.

i get it the design of just setting up temperature instead of the watts, cause on TC mode, it cant go fully to the desired watts as the TC kicks in to block over heating.

but yea, i do get my desired resistance. but after i switch it back on from off, it jumps each time, sometimes even when not removing the tank from the mod. but this difference can mean a huge diff in the vape. its like on one side u get a nice vape, full on flavor n vapor, and the other side its just nothing, not a dry hit. but like very minimal vapor.

it auto detects bro. they claim, and i quote from the manual: "first box mod and the only one with constant temp control function on the market currently. has most accurate temp control fuction so it can fire on exact set temperature...automatically check temperature 1000 times/sec to keep it accurate and prevent the coil short-circuited"

im suspecting probably the chip is just way too sensitive.

EDIT: forgot to add this. it does have a 'memory' function sorta thing whereby when u remove the tank n put it back, it will ask u whether u wana use the previous setting (memory) or set a new one. but sometimes the function to choose doesnt appear at all
