QUOTE(14-9-2015 @ Aug 7 2015, 10:49 AM)
why did u post this here?  what are u trying to prove? do u think we r not clear enuf on whr u stand? why r u so stubborn?

i started listening frm the 10:00 min mark, right up til the end & felt sick in the pits of my stomach after listening to this. it grieved my spirit.

this is so far off the mark, if u can even call it a proper sermon.

Joel Osteen is a fantastic motivational speaker. i'll gif em tat.

keeps harping on overcoming the flesh by depending on our own strength. talks a lot about human feelings. talks about human potential.

teaches a lot of positive self-talk. repetitive theme about reaching the fullness of your destiny in this life.

he quotes scripture whenever its convenient for him. cracks jokes at the right times too.

touches very little on scripture. no elaboration whatsoever. hardly ever talks about Jesus. telling lots of grandmother stories about successful ppl.

feeding the spirit person, not the flesh through self-discipline! no mention about depending on Christ. what is this??!!

Kept saying, "can God trust us? can God trust us?",  shouldn't it be the other way around instead? We put our trust in God??!!

"We shouldn't put a 'question mark', where God put a 'period'."  Another repetitive statement throughout this video.

this fella is very, very slick!

this is NOT my brand of Christianity. Don't make a mockery of Christ's sacrifice on the cross. u are going in a very dangerous direction de1929.

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears." - 2 Timothy 4:3

He is like u said , a good motivation speaker, but i myself dont really heed the words he say , i do believe , every Christian have his own/her own way of persuing God. Thats why i always remember , like when you read the Bible, make sure to read it with a positive mindset or to "be a sponge and absorb" lol.

PS : When r we gonna have a Lowyat's christian fellowship outing ? tongue.gif
