According to some Bible commentaries, it says, "do not implicitly believe everything they say, but examine them according to the word of God, search the scriptures, for there are heretics and false prophets."

So this was Paul's advise to the Thessalonians in regard to prophecies right?

Another commentary I read says, "false doctrine usually carries much truth. The Devil is too smart to tempt you with absolute contradiction to what you believe. He takes what you believe and modifies it slightly."

So we better to be careful eh.. ohmy.gif

Can you summarise? Too deep for me...  rclxub.gif

It's usually in the context of Anti Christ Sentiment.

Meaning denying that Jesus is the Christ and that He came in the flesh, died and rose again.

That is what God painatakingly warn us.

There is only 1 religion that is strongly connected to this.

That is the false prophet. Amazing right? The word of God ahead of it's time.

Wasn't The Pharisees deny Jesus as well?

And how about Judaism? They didn't believe Messiah has come.
*
Yea but Israel has a special place in God's divine plan, God will come back for them after the rapture to rescue them.

But that religion that I mention fits perfectly of the False Prophet condition.

1 John 4:1-3

1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

Denies the Father
Denies the Son
Reject Christ as the Messiah
Reject that He died and Rose again.

Fits perfectly I tell you.

I like this verse.

1 John 4:20-21 NIV

Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.

And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.

I know its hard but that's what God expects of us eh?
*
And it's also the single most important sign that will help unbelievers and God haters recognize God.

Don't force him. Let it go if he doesn't want to believe. You cannot twist his arm.

Only God alone has the power to save people. Walk in peace, let that be a testimony.

Let God use your exhibition of peace and love to reach out to him. And Even if He doesn't want to listen to you..there are many others who can reap what you have harvested in your brother.
Meaning to say...it's possible that you maybe a seed planter and others could be the one who reaps what you planted in Him.

Relax. Keep on praying.

Recently come across a link about tithing.

http://www.churchleaders.com/worship/worsh...e=socialnetwork
*
That's because they gave their tithing with a wrong revelation.

A lot of people give with a sense of unjustified self importance.

The right way to tithing is to give with these sense of revelation;

1. You recognize and acknowledge it is God who gave you the power to gain wealth
2. You recognize and acknowledge if God had not opened that door or made it possible, you would have not gotten that Job or income/business/project.
3. You recognize and acknowledge that all the money and your belongings belongs to God in the first place.

When I give, I give whole heartedly without compulsion. Even if I don't tithe, I know God does not condemn but I only give opportunity to the devil to devour.

There is not about Law.

The Book of Malachi does not say God curse you with a curse but because you don't tithe, you subject your money to the world that is already cursed from the beginning.

That is what it means in the book of Malachi. Some Christian misinterpreted that meaning in Malachi to equate it with the Law.

However I just want to testify to the Glory of God it is out of his goodness (of Father God), He has been faithful to bless me back (financially) according to his word in the book of malachi. The windows of Heaven's blessing was opened to me and so far has remain open to my life. I'm not saying this to twist anyone's arm to tithe. I'm saying this to testify that God is not a liar and is faithful to his word. This is something that is real and not just wishful thinking.

But why is that when some of you tithe, you don't see this blessing? Check your revelation. When you have a wrong revelation, I believe the HS will not work according to that.

Does it really necessary to give at least 10% of your clean income for the month for tithe?
*
Before answering,

I think we need to establish some understanding. Would you agree that the devil wants to destroy life?
And financial is one way the enemy can get to you.

Once you understand that, then my answer to you is:

Depends on whether how important you think your money needs to be protected from enemy's attack.

This term necessary then will help us understand, God does not want our money to deem it as necessary to be parted for his sake but it is necessary is more for our sake to be protected and blessed.

Yes, i do believe Devil want to destroy our relationship with God everyday.........

money is a material stuff that is 1 point still money is essential in everyday life, we can give 10% of our saving and less saving for us

does it matter we tithe according to our heart desire?

Ps: not trying to argue here but trying to get more understanding about tithing hmm.gif
sharing 1 nice song from Joshua Band here, very relaxing and calming each time i listened to this song

*
For me, I don't see it as less saving because if God were to stop the devourer from attacking our finances...it's already more of a saving.
On top of that God promises to open the windows of Heaven's Blessing meeting all your needs in various way that is a plus not less.

We don't tithe according to how we feel.

We should tithe according to revelation of this truth, repenting our mind from thinking God wants our life difficult.

I would say it would be right to only Tithe when you truly believe and understand what is said in the book of Malachi.

Else you would be tithing grudgingly and that would give opportunity to the enemy to attack your peace of mind.

Hey Guys,

If you're free come to Bukti Jalil Calvary Convention Centre to see a Christmas Musical call Angel Alert @5PM

ALL OF us have different interpretations of what an angel is – from being a mere decoration on the Christmas tree to serving as our everyday guardian.

This festive season, the Calvary Church of Kuala Lumpur is presenting its interpretation of the role angels play in our lives.

Angel Alert! is a family-friendly musical that aims to reveal the special tasks entrusted to angels more than 2,000 years ago.

Project coordinator Rev Richard Yun said the musical seeks to answer the many questions about the uncertain times that we are living in.

He added: "Do not be deceived by the look and feel of the musical visual design. I liken the musical to meeting a stoic-looking man, only to find that his personality is warm and witty!

"Children and adults will be captivated by the meaning of the musical that seeks to spread the message of peace, which our world desperately needs. This musical is indeed timely, in view of the many tragic events occurring recently around the world."

This is not the first musical produced by the church. It has been touching many lives through its production of well-known Christmas musicals such as A Christmas Wonder, The Father's Love and Mercy Came Running for over three decades.

Like its previous productions, Angel Alert! is a heart-warming musical that is complemented by stunning lighting effects and harmonious music. Its cast is made up of talents of all ages, showcasing 'angels' of many different shapes and sizes.

The musical, which is open to all non-Muslims, premieres on Dec 19 and Dec 20 at 5pm at the Calvary Convention Centre in Bukit Jalil.

Calvary Church senior pastor Rev Tan Sri Prince Guneratnam will also be delivering a keynote address on both evenings to share how the audience may also receive a life-changing experience.

In addition, there will be a Christmas Eve Thanksgiving Service held at the same venue on Dec 24 at 9pm. Nursery care will be available for children between four months and four years old. There will also be a special children's programme for those aged between five and 11 years.

A free shuttle service will also be available for an hour before and after the musical to and from the newly-opened Awan Besar LRT station.

Admission to the musical is free and so is parking at the multi-level basement of the convention centre.

You're welcome to come to our musical. Only 3 more hours to go, starts at 5PM in Bukit Jalil and

as for your 2nd question; the answer is no because this is a Christian Fellowship Thread and in the 1st page we have stated clearly our rules.

No Arguments in here as this thread primarily is for Christians to fellowship.

What do you mean by questions that lead to arguements ?
The first page mentioned questions allowed, arguements are not alloweed.
Questions don't cause or lead to arguements. Arguements are created by people and need at least 2 parties. You can easily tell  whether a person is argueing or asking questions.
Don't you agree ?
*
Yes I can easily tell but answer is still No.

What it means is that the question when asked and the answer given and when disagreement happened, it usually leads to argument.

The fact that you needed to ask this and If I have to explain something that is so obviously common sense, then I guess No.

If obviously so common sense, I don't think there will be questions about it.
I refer to questions that cannot be easily answered by common sense and/or if the common sense answer may lead to evidence that Christianity is wrong, but no arguements. How about that ?

Which part of the No you don't understand?

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 20 — Christmas is still five days away, but the PKR-led Selangor government have decided to gift early presents to a Protestant church group and other non-Muslim creeds in the state.

Selangor Mentri Besar Azmin Ali said his administration has approved RM200,000 for the ongoing construction of an office and chapel owned by the country’s umbrella Protestant church body, the Council of Churches of Malaysia (CCM), and a state budget of RM6 million in repair and renovation assistance for non-Muslim places of worship.

“It is our commitment to continue to support religious institutions of various faiths in Selangor,” he said in his speech at the state-organised Christmas celebration in Klang last night.

He said he doubled the state allocation for non-Muslim creeds from RM3 million after taking office in September 2014 to prove his commitment.

“I am happy to announce that for 2016, the same amount has been maintained,” he said.

“As we approach Christmas, let us be reminded that while it is a season for receiving, it is more importantly a time for giving,” he added.

Today just heard the bad news at Kota Raya. Let us pray for God to punish Alee Teenjuuu and send angels to trip him and make him fall into a drain and smash his face.
*
Are you sure that is something Jesus would have approved?

As much as we all want that but it's wrong to pray such prayers.

The Apostle John once said the same thing to Jesus in Luke 9.

Study the passage in Luke 9:

…54 When His disciples James and John saw this, they said, "Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them?" 55 But He turned and rebuked them, and said, "You do not know what kind of spirit you are of; 56for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them." And they went on to another village.

That is the wrong kind of spirit to exhibit.

Hmmm...Who is this Alee Teenjuuu?

Why do you wish ill treatment of him?

Yea I think God answered some of the prayers of some Churches.

Unto Us a Son is Given, Merry Christmas

Isaiah 9:6 (NIV) - For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

If there's ever a time, doubt has crept into your life with regards to Salvation;

consider this verse;

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;

6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight

Verse 5 Talks About Faith; Just trust in the Lord with all your heart (don't rationalize with your understanding), that He (The Lord Jesus) will save you, not you being confident that you are saved because you obeyed by your acts or performance.

Verse 6, the word "Submit" in the Hebrews YADA means "To Know", in everything, just Know God, acknowledge Him. Don't say God has forgotten you or have not been there for you. Acknowledge Him and He will show you day by day why you are saved.

Oh How Great and Gracious is our Lord Jesus Christ. He gave himself for us that we may live.
Bless His Holy Name and Rejoice!

Merry Christmas And Happy Holidays to all my friends in here;
