Liverpool are interested in making a move for Jurgen Klopp's former assistant manager Zeljko Buvacat, as reported by ​Winner Sports.

With Liverpool still looking to replace Mike Marsh and Colin Pascoe as Brendan Rodgers' assistants, Buvac's arrival could signal the Reds interest in Klopp should Rodgers fail next season.

After under-achieving in last years campaign, Rodgers knows he will need to recuperate his side and finish in the top four.

The completion of the signings of James Milner, Danny Ings, Joe Gomez, Adam Bogdan and Roberto Firmino has highlighted the owners trust in Rodgers.

Liverpool secured their fifth signing last week and will now press ahead with a move for a new assistant manager.

Buvac is a highly respected coach in the game and is seen as Klopp's 'twin' after playing an integral part in Borussia Dortmund's success.

With Rene Meulensteen and Pako Ayestaran also being looked at for the No2 role, a move for the Bosnian could prove to suggest Rodgers' future is not but all stable given Buvac's links with Klopp.

The 53-year old is currently managing national side Republika Srpska and is thought to be keen on the idea of moving to Merseyside.

Following Klopp's announcement of taking a break from management after leaving Dortmund, Liverpool owners will be sniffing around the German's services if Rodgers fails to improve by the end of the year.

Strikers for loan: Jerome Sinclair

Midfielders to go: Joao Carlos, Sterling

Trimming down to 9 midfielders (excluding Illaramendi and Pedro) and 4 Strikers (Ibe is actually a winger type) will be good enough.

LOL you're saying we should continue paying Balotelli somewhere between 80k pounds (basic) to 110k pounds (including perks) and keep him on the bench? If yes, i'd rather keep Borini who earns between 40k pounds (basic) to 60k pounds (including perks) a week.

The list of players I listed are such as Yesil and Joao Carlos are already pass their 20years of age. Now still cannot break into 1st team, wanna wait till when? Might as well cut short their stay, reduce our losses and prolong their career somewhere else.

I'd say Allen may be good for another year since Europa League has more games than UCL, so its betterto keep experience players, at least for the season.

Markovic is still young, so I never name him out. Besides, 60k a week for the next 4 years represents an ok business, if u ask me. Who knows, he may be a slightly slow boomer like Henderson.
