I've touched about 160+km/h on the East Coast highway.
It was easily done....but I do agree with you that wind noise was bad after 140.
Doesn't really annoy me as I rarely drive that fast.

I have to say that the handling of the car on the Karak is very impressive, and I feel much more confident taking the sloping corners than my previous car which was a 2008 Civic FD2.
Of course these corners are not taken at extremely high speeds.....more like from 80 to 120 km/hr.

How does the pickup feels like from 90 to 190? Do you really feel the electric motor effect?

Top speed is limited at 185kph. Power is then cut off even if you keep the accelerator to the floor. You probably touched 190 while going down a slope as the power is cut off.

I tested the hybrid on mex. wind noise crept in above 140 and becomes unbearable near the limiter. Not sure if my test drive car was poorly assembled or the wind was particularly strong that day.

At 185kph, the car feels floaty and disconnected from the road probably that's the reason they put a speed limiter. It should not dampen a potential buyer's interest anyway as it was never marketed as a sports sedan or meant to be driven at such speeds.

1.Perhaps due to i upgrade from A-segment to Camry . i really feel its very power . Yes the battery motor does drain as often.

2. Compare to the Hyundai i10 previously, the cabin noise are considered minimal , plus i am listening to music, thus the wind notice are less noticeable ?

3.Floaty wise i dont feel so la, normally only 1 seater max 2, overall im satisfied with the driving experience.

yea, i was testing the NVH so i turned off the music. the whirring "turbine" sound is also heard when moving from a stop or coming to a stop. also there's an annoying "click" sound whenever you press the brake pedal.

Yea bro, you can test with totally silence but lets not too technical. Must be practical abit ma , as we normal drive with music on one. Nothing is perfect, since you already bought the car, why let urself get annoyed by some of its flaw with unpractical test, it NVH already best in class compare to most of car. suffer le if keep pick bone within the eggs

By the way, im totally in love with this car surround system, that one of the selling point for me smile.gif

Hi All,

We are also planning of getting a Camry Hybrid, may I know what is the rate of discount now?

Any known problems besides the rattling sound and the brake whizzing?

2 things i wish the car will have - the auto tilt side view mirror (passenger side) and the front sensors (the existing front side sensors tend to miss objects directly in front). overall a good family car.

Yeah they should have put a couple of front sensors also. The side ones are good but not very practical

Actually I drive with the music on.
I guess it's just that at lower speeds, the car is impressively quiet.
So when I exceed 130-140 km/h, the wind noise is quite apparent.

that's the cooling fan sound. it runs faster and noisier the faster you drive (to cool the hybrid batteries)

it's normal for hybrid cars, but i find the cooling fans in the camry to be noisier and runs faster than Jazz or CRZ. Not sure about Prius/PriusC as i've never sat in one.
