Top speed is limited at 185kph. Power is then cut off even if you keep the accelerator to the floor. You probably touched 190 while going down a slope as the power is cut off.
I tested the hybrid on mex. wind noise crept in above 140 and becomes unbearable near the limiter. Not sure if my test drive car was poorly assembled or the wind was particularly strong that day.
At 185kph, the car feels floaty and disconnected from the road probably that's the reason they put a speed limiter. It should not dampen a potential buyer's interest anyway as it was never marketed as a sports sedan or meant to be driven at such speeds.

I've touched about 160+km/h on the East Coast highway.
It was easily done....but I do agree with you that wind noise was bad after 140.
Doesn't really annoy me as I rarely drive that fast.
I have to say that the handling of the car on the Karak is very impressive, and I feel much more confident taking the sloping corners than my previous car which was a 2008 Civic FD2.
Of course these corners are not taken at extremely high speeds.....more like from 80 to 120 km/hr.
Did u guys driving with mute sound all the time ?
i did notice the noise from the hybridbattery vent have noticeable sound (turbinwhinning) after 120km/h.
but normally i drive with music one, so never bother me
