Congrates

Eco mode n ev mode on?
*
No- Eco mode is too underpower because that mode retard the acceleration pedal. You have to press hard to reach even 110km/hr. And on EV, this only applicable if I drive below 50km/hr and if battery still full. The most on EV mode is only 2km. So- I decided not to run on eco or even EV. Let the car automatically decide on the mode. smile.gif

Im still noob

U say "let the car automatically decide on the mode"

So if u dun turn on ev n eco, the car would still go to ev by its own, if battery is full and speed is low?

And eco will be on by itself during city driving in start stop traffic even without turning it on?

I know when i turn on eco, the aircond is cut down a bit, and it is immediately noticeable  (on honda accord)
*
Yes without pressing either the Eco or evebn EV, The car will decide whether to go on full EV or automatically recharge when you go downhill or even braking and whenever u need immediate power or hill climbing, the system will mixed both electric & petrol engine together to get the xtra umphhh... This xtra umpphh is the one pushing the combined power up to the max of 205HP and 230NM torue...If just depend on petrol, the engine is almost like a 2.0 car and on electric.. it will not push further than 50km/hr before it switch over to petrol engine.

Thank you!

I was told that if use fully synthetic the service interval is every 10,000km?

My civic fd2 was using mineral oil dor the past 8yrs, every 5000km

So should i use fully synthetic for camry? unsure.gif
*
Really up to u. For me semi synt for 10k is sufficient. For this 1k & nxt 5k, I will be using mineral till 10k & I will switch over to semi.

BTW, the price is not updated. The oli & filter price has increased. My service this Morning cost me rm150.

QUOTE(ST.Lim @ Nov 23 2015, 11:35 AM)
I collected my car on Friday midnight, the car is not washed and not polished. Like hot bun taken out from oven.
Exactly one month waiting since I placed my order on 22nd Oct.

1st thing in the morning I went to add on darker tinted film for safety concern as the car is mainly drive by my "home minister", and headlights protection film.
after that went for a car wash and still deciding whether should get a coating done or just normal polishing work.

Installed locktech pedal lock on yesterday and now trying to read on the manual, trying to understand how the eco and EC mode works.

Currently I didn't choose ECo or EV mode and let the car run as it is but I can feel the car is lack of power.
*
Camry already comes with 7yrs warrantied tinted glass. If u add extra, it will void your current warranty for sure. I'm the one did the coating & u did replied to my posting on whether thinking of silver package ceramic coating..Well I went for the cheapest haha.. Only RM799 vs that siver package of yours of RM2.5K? hmnnnn...overpriced for the same thing except they gave u 5 years warranty & mine only 1 yr. Nevertheless, It will last from my previous experience using such coating.

On the underpower, well..during the initial stage -yes because you do not want to accelerate fast 7 etc and the lag is there. Do not press the Eco button as this is super lag. EV is OK but max till ~50km/hr b4 combination of electric & petrol kick in. To really "feel"the power, you need to accelerate abit faster and this will activate both electric & petrol engine together to get the ümphh"Not to worry about the FC as it will normalised by itself on long driving.

If u only allow electric to work, there will be slight lag & if u allow only the petrol engine to works, this also wil cause the lack. U need both to get the real torque..

How much or Ltr u refill? For me RON97 is not value for money unless the diff between RON95 & (& is small less say RM0.10. Otherwise, RON95 can do the same job.

Wa... RM100 for 870km...  My working area to my home is about 6km, then 2 months only pump once  biggrin.gif

Really saved fuel Wei
*
Nah.. I decided to refuel when the meter showing 850km this Evening. Anyway, I will not take RM100 for 850km but to be more conservative, RM100 for 820 or 16.8km/ltr for this refuel. Reason beeing, wheen I took the car >2 wks ago, it was free full tank and the dealer probably pumped in RM110 hmm.gif

I will monitir again after I refuel another round of RM100 hours ago, Expecting nxt refuel probably end of next week haha

flex.gif superb reading & achievable. However this is daily reset / last reset reading. For accurate reading, really have to average. Out the fc after each refuel.

The slight jerking is normal when the petrol engine -ice restarted during prolong jam. This just like u restart the car using key/push start.

Anyway it is very minimal & we don't feel it during hard/fast acceleration let say from traffic light.

BTW I hv seen on foreign hybrid having the distance to empty gauge...hmnnnn can't find it in our hybrid??

I'm also interested in buying the locktech. Anyone here organizing a bulk purchase?
*
Locktech is pedal lock & not steering lock. Anyway all thise gadgets can only mitigate but not eliminate. There are many ways your car can be stolen.

Have u ever think on those fake towing companies towing away your beloved car? Can any of the locks deter such actions?
