Okay guys currently I'm using a Samsung Galaxy a3. Shitty camera. So I itching to get a xperia z3+(releasing later this year). My Bro has got a xperia z3 and he says the battery life is 2 days, smooth performance phone, camera is ok. Win win for me.

Buuuuuut still I want the camera to take amazing pics even in low light conditions/night shots. Wanna take pics of the night sky. Moon and all. And even people in the dark Haha. So time to power up the camera phone.

So I heard about the qx100. Is it worth buying this to pair with my xperia z3+ plus as a combo? Coz I realized inbuilt smartphones will never do justice to quality especially in low light.
Is this qx100 the latest model?
And the retail price (cheapest) at lowyat is.....?

Thanks!

I'd recommend RX100 mark1 instead. Goes for about the same price as qx100 iinm.. Do some research on it.

I own the RX100m3, I use it alongside my A99 when on the assignments sometimes. My recent trip to Japan was shot exclusively with the RX100m3, goes to show how much trust I put in that little monster.

Compared to the QX100, the RX100 will be more pocketable. Slim and fits into a pocket vs round and barrel like - your call.

The QX100 doesn't shoot RAW (not sure if any firmware update fixed this yet). RX100 does. At times when you really want to squeeze whatever detail out from the photo, RAW is the way to go, no other way around it.

If you absolutely need to tether it to your phone and send images to Facebook on the go, then get the RX100m2, with NFC and WiFi.

What you need is QX1 not QX100

If it's QX1, I rather get a mirrorless camera.

I JUST heard about this. It costs rm1300 I think.. Is that the current price? From the promos and reviews it can capture lowlights pics and night sky pics and the derail and quality is just amazing.
