I'm not sure, from my impression clay bricks is better since alot high end properties using clay bricks.

I could be wrong but I always thought that sand brick is not as solid as clay brick - for instance if you drill the wall of a sand brick, you can drill through pretty easy and actually there's a lot more mess (sand) that came out.

Or wait until next year to save more and buy subsale Chimes (hopefully market still not good and able to buy around RM650k).

Then my savings become zero and need to pay loan installment straight away.

If Chimes upper living hall part is not that crucial for u and your family, suggest u to go for Penduline. Ya, construction period interest is vary, it is around 3-4% of your loan amount. If IJM claim faster, prob max at RM 20k ono. If IJM claim slowly and ur house early VP, maybe just RM 10-15k.

But, how abt if u sell ur current apartment to cash out for renovation part?

Btw, ur EPF is part of the funding into buying a house.

I think staffs ok, at least they only give to their own staffs with some allocation units and of coz, the staffs deserved such benefit for win win situation. Anyway, I thought IJM give staffs different discount and based on KPI or number of years worked.

but you are not helping the cause.....because you bought....therefore they wont give you more discount and freebies.....
