it depends on you actually. If you are a fussy owner, it is better you do self inspection first. Go thoroughly all over the house. then opt for joint inspection. I am a bit fussy, so it took me 3 days to complete the whole inspection myself. Eventually, it is your house, you are going to stay there. I don't see a point why you need to hire a professional home inspector to inspect your own house. Another person's point of view will not always be the same as yours right.

Collected the key yesterday and do a quick check on the house - didn't find any obvious defects
The only thing that's bothering me is the access road to my house. Pusing pusing cos they only allow one way in I believe for safety. But if at night the light doesn't work, then I'm not sure if it is safe to move in laa..

Still banyak contract workers around the area and in front of my house is the Eco Sanctuary development. I hate to say this but from their website, the place looks majestic mannn. Ergghhh!
