QUOTE(I Like Cats @ Jul 1 2015, 09:59 PM) After sending in the laptop for service and replacing the fan and heatsink, the problem still persists. I read in the msi forums that I could repaste my cpu and gpu. Would it be a good idea? I have a tube of coolermaster extreme fusion X1. It is not heat sink nor fan problem but thermal management problem. The best is to under clock. Thermal paste might reduce 3 - 4 celcius

QUOTE(I Like Cats @ Jul 2 2015, 08:05 PM) Yea temps go above 90c Max temps so far are 94 for cpu and 91 for gpu repasting with correct amount and technique would improve temps 2-5c thing is manufacturers usually put too much thermal paste and this causes the paste to be an insulator instead of filling the microscopic gaps between the chip and the hearsink
