Great! I using NewPipe app now to watch YouTube. YouTube won't work without Google Play services.

What other apps would u all suggest us to try? Other than hypptv and astro go. Kodi unfortunately don't work for Android 4.4 damn

Edit: YouTube TV 1.2.7 ARM Works well. no need Google play services, the newer versions need Android Lollipop while 1.3 and above has some issues with displaying videos as tiles

You mean u just download the apks and installed it? Just like that? Wow didn't expect it to work.

I kinda like not having Google play store or play services. With regards to Youtube, I prefer the YouTube TV version as it's easier to use with the remote. The latest versions require at least Android 5.0+ unfortunately

Hopefully no TM servants in this forum that reports to Big daddy Telekom Malaysia to patch this workaround 😂

Moved to Unifi from streamyx and they gave me a new STB. I want to use my old STB with hypptv everywhere. Anyone knows where to get a stable hypptv everywhere apk for the TM STB?

So far I tried version 7+ and it says unable to parse package when I install the apk. I used 6.4 and it can install and login in well. The problem is if I return to the home screen and try to open back the Hypptv Everywhere, it just stuck at the hypptv spash screen.

If I reset the app, then I will be able to login again but I can't do this each time I want to watch hypptv everywhere on this old STB.

I can't use the in-built Hypptv App as my new STB (with Unifi) is linked to that account. Only one stb per account for the in-built app

Kindly advise, thank you.

Have you tried the latest apps of the rebranded Unifi TV? Both tablet and phone versions? It's called playtv@unif.

Yep I did, got an error "unable to parse package"

Seems that only version 6+ can be installed, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit:
I found this one worked!

Just got myself the new IPTV box after upgraded to Unifi. But sadly, it no longer able to work using WIFI, only LAN. Is there a workaround to make it works? Thanks.

As far as I understand, the stb can work with wifi for other apps like browser or iflix for example. However, the Unifi tv app built-in will only work with the lan Ethernet connection. The Ethernet port must be connected to LAN4 of your router for that to work. This way, Unifi tv will not be using your bandwidth as it has a separate bandwidth. So technically, your internet speed will not deteriorate with while Unifi tv is on.

On the contrary, Unifi playtv (for mobile) will take up your bandwidth but it's not as clear as the in-built app in the STB.
