well, until Malaysians understand the different requirements of each specialization then it'll come down to which would be a more lucrative career.

too many employers today are seeking graphic designers with the requirements of a multimedia designer which is utterly dumb in my opinion.

so if you'd like to make a decision, think about what you like doing better or have more interest in striving for a higher level of quality in workmanship.
