Opening can be done online right without the need to visit a ambank branch? Don't have any ambank account at the moment?

Any specific terms to get the cash back of 3%? Eg minimum spending, only weekend transcation.
Does the 3% CB apply to foreign online store like amazon, eBay or only for local store? |

QUOTE(marscoco @ Jul 3 2015, 09:58 AM) Hi @Ramjade, you can apply for the TRUE Accounts via truebyambank.com under 'Apply Now'. It will lead you to an online application form which you will need to fill out and submit. You will receive an acknowledgement email with details of when you should pick up your card. Since you are a new customer to AmBank, you will still need to visit the nearest AmBank branch to submit your biometrics and pick up your TRUE Debit MasterCard. But I can use that account first without a true debit card right?Hope that helps. Eg, like transfering to money into the account and start earning interest. |

So I can visit any branch? 2. Do I need to bring along any proof that I applied for a True savers account? 3. How long will it take to process my application? Can it be ready by this Thursday? |

marscoco I would like to ask the following about this True credit card.
1. Is the 3% rebate applicable for online utilities payment (TNB, TM, Water, Telco)? This post has been edited by Ramjade: Jul 27 2015, 12:21 AM |

QUOTE(knight @ Aug 15 2015, 09:40 AM) Hi, Like to ask. No. What it meant is you can withdraw for free from any atm in Malaysia without charge. 5 free MEPS withdrawals per month* Does this means we can only withdraw 5times only using our ATM cards from our Transact Account? The 6th one will be charged. How much will it be charged, I don't know. Unless it's from ambank atm then moat likely is free. |

QUOTE(kEITh_22b @ Oct 1 2015, 05:30 PM) Unsuccessful attempt in trying to register for this AmBank's True Savers account via their link: http://www.truebyambank.com/trueproducts/Pages/index.aspx Since when? There's nothing in their term and conditions. I am a student and I managed to open. Go to ambank, take opening account no. When you are called, tell them you want to open Truesavers, fill up the form, sign and wait. You do not need to go back and forth to ambank. Just wait there until they process finished.Seems like AmBank's online portal is full of errors of some kind (eg. error message from their website when I tried clicking on the online registration form to register for True Savers account for example; tried doing it during office hours also no difference...) Finally, I drove over to the AmBank's branch & request to open True Savers account (already filled up & signed the required form)..., but I was then notified that I "may not be eligible" to open True Savers account when/if I am not working/have a full-time job with a company, or a student studying in college for example... (Yes, I am not employed & already graduated from uni, but I am doing some kind of freelance, some part time direct sales like, & some passive-income things online, so how...) (So they told me that they would have to see how..., about whether the manager can approve my registration or not... Have to wait & see...) I wonder is it normal for the procedure to be like that...? --- |

QUOTE(kEITh_22b @ Oct 2 2015, 05:43 PM) I drove over to AmBank's branch to inquire about my True Savers account application once again, but the bank officer told me that seeking approval needs time (!)... Ocbc not worth. To get 3%, you need to topup min rm1k/month. Any withdrawal will cause the interest to drop to 0.5% for that month. Better you put 1 month maybank Islamic efd at 3.25% if like that.I successfully opened a Maybank2u savings account (with almost 2.5% interest credited monthly) online, & it took me less than 10 minutes for the process to be completed. Recently I also went over to Hong Leong's bank branch to open a savings account there as well, & the whole process only took less than 10 minutes. BTW, I would be taking a look at OCBC's Premier Savings Account (3.0% interest). --- Go to another ambank branch. Don't talk anything. Just fill up the form ans sign. |

Ah SiAnGYup just check. It's RM9,999,999.99 = unlimited in my books as I don't even have 5 figure to transfer within my own account.
For most people, I guess is considered as unlimited too as who is foolish enough to put >rm1m into a normal SA? |

QUOTE(applesmiley @ Oct 23 2015, 10:14 PM) Hi guys, Really? I better called up customer service and ask. After reading all the reviews here, I decided to open an account with them today. However, I was later told that the debit card costs RM 12 p.a (first year waived) when the website clearly states that it is free. Did they revise the fees & charges already? |
