I'm using this Kettle + Teapot set. I usually use the kettle to boil water and sometimes when I want to make tea, I just pour the hot water from the kettle into the teapot and throw a teabag into the filter holder. Then I turn the warming function for the teapot to go. This was my partner's ideal of a kettle when we were looking for a kettle.
Saves me the trouble and keeps the tea warm when I want it.
Something like a coffee maker & it's teapot set though.

Thank you for your concern. The water is boiled one time and if making tea as well, just keep warm only. QUOTE(voonmingloo @ May 28 2015, 04:38 PM) Be careful of water being boil many times, heard that is not good for our body.

It's a non brand set, Tesco home brand only. This is what I'm using at the moment. Usually I boil the water but at times when I'm craving tea, I just pour the boiled water into the teapot and put the teabag in the strainer. I guess it's about convenience only haha because this one has a warming function when you want the tea to be warm for a while. Something like a coffee maker and it's warming function I guess.

No problem. Getting a non electric kettle to boil water is more cost saving other than having a vacuum flask but it also means you need to watch the stove until the water is boiled. Other than that, whether you have a electric kettle or using non electric kettle on a electric stove to boil water, there is absolutely no difference in saving cost regarding electricity unless you happen to be using gas hob to boil water. Just my personal opinion. So I just say if you buy electric kettle to boil water then it should be fine as long as it is not thermal airport. A thermal airport can jack up your electric bill more than an electric kettle. QUOTE(Career26 @ Jul 7 2015, 02:49 PM) Ha! Picture explains well thanks for sharing.

That's true. With kids around, there's always a daily need for hot water but not so for singles and married couples with no kids in tow. Entirely dependent on how often we need hot water is also another factor. QUOTE(weikee @ Jul 7 2015, 03:22 PM) Depending on usage, with kids is we usually boil and put in vacuum flask, this can last more than 30 hours. For tea making, and own consumption boil what required are better, because we only consume what required, furthermore tea taste better when water are really hot.
