Not sure if anyone have come across this malware software. I search the forum and get nothing. So I posting here to share with everyone.
Hope this is the proper place to post this. Mods plz move it if wrong place.

Its called Prevx1 and homepage is www.prevx.com.
I got infected with Brontoks recently and tried this software. It helped cleaned my pc out. It searches for malware, spyware, adware and everyware blush.gif . Not sure about those chinese adware/malware. Mebe someone can try out. I have nod32 and firewall installed, but this software is now a real good secondary standby so far.

Tested it before. Doesn't do as good a job as the standalone ones like Spy Sweeper/Spyware Doctor for spyware/malware, etc. As an antivirus, same thing. You've gotta be more technical for this software. Better off using a proper anti virus software for proper detection, etc.

Features are good, detection methods are lacking, etc. Test it out and compare it and you'll see.

Nah ...

" Should you wish to use the clean up features of Prevx1 again after the first 28 days then you may choose to purchase a one month or 12 month clean up license. This is very easy to do and allows you to pay for the product only as you need it. "

Lazy to try it.

So good that you uninstalled your Antivirus and Spybot +Ad-Aware (??!!), you must be kidding. Prevx1 is suppose to be used as a SUPPLEMENTARY SOFTWARE, NOT A STANDALONE!! Read the manual before use.

@rayfoo
I believe from other's post, (I am late, LOL), it is only free until the first cleanup, then, it RTM for free, no further.

@refnulf
If Spyware Doctor and Spysweeper is the only best around, Spybot and Ad-Aware would have long extinct. No offence.

As from some reading up, Prevx1 is only a supplementary software (I hate repeating). It supposedly has Advance Heuristics to prevent new or unknown malware (Virus, Spyware ...) from wreaking havoc. If you would kindly read AV-Comparatives Report (there is one on HIPS, Virtualization and ...), Cyberhawk does a better job that Prevx1. For a better option, "Safe n Sec" would be excellent. No doubt, the report is only written based on a few malware, and the testing is not exactly thorough. But then again, it is adequate as a guideline. Read before Usage. Cheers!

Just giving you my test results. Spybot and Ad-Aware do a decent job, but not the best job. Which is why I purchased both Spy Sweeper and Spyware Doctor. You can run 40 free anti spyware programs, no use if they don't get rid of em all.

Spyware use to be just annoying, but now they're getting dangerous. So prepare yourself. Free anti spyware just don't do the best job. That's a fact.

Why do you think the paid softwares are still around? If no one paid for em, they'd be long extinct too right? No offense.

What Spyware did you use to test them? Give me a list. And also, what versions of those Anti-Spyware programs? What are the definition dates? Please tell me. Clarification is the best proof. Cheers!

Tried the usual free ones all you fellas are using now. All I'm saying is, be careful because spybot and ad-aware do not find all the spyware in the pc. This is a fact. There are some that the free ones cannot find and remove. I used spybot, and ad-aware as well as a few others and it didn't find the file which spyware doctor found. So what does that tell you?

Definition dates are of course latest. You can go about saying free software is the greatest, but ask yourself why they have paid versions of the same software like Ad-aware, and all the other anti virus around tongue.gif

Hey Hey Hey. Cool down. No, you missed my point very badly. What I am saying is that freeware serves its purpose. I am trying to promote an all-round mentality. I never said that Spyware Doctor or Spysweeper is useless. I am saying that Spybot and AdAware also has a role to play. Initial versions of ZA + AntiSpyware is like, atrocious, considering their Definition file is so limited, but you have to pay for it.

Adaware paid version includes Ad-Watch only. Ad-Watch is redundant. I've tested that. Come on, I test Combos, I sure now what works and what cracks too. Cheers!
