Hi there. I applied for the celcom first 38 just now at their Centre and I received an email intheevening, stating that the transaction was successful together with a bill of some sort. An hour after that, I received an sms saying that the port request was rejected by maxis.
Anyone else facing such experience? How do I go about this. Thanks a bunch.

Do they handle enquires online? I went to maxis forum and they redirected me to lowyat forum instead.

the other day i went to try and port my prepaid celcom to postpaid.
they didn't allow me cause i had some outstanding with digi and maxis, which i forgot about. old broadband bill.
after i settled with digi and maxis, they unblocked me, so I can port it

Yes. if you owe your previous telco, they will block you. so signing up with new telco cannot be done. this is to prevent people from owing and jumping telcos.

Ohhhhhh. The hotlink number was registered under another name and I applied for the port at celcom with my name and ic instead. I guess this is what caused the failure. Thanks!

I kena this. And no one from Maxis said a word even after I reiterated that my line's a principal. Found out after calling their customer line.

TS it means you're blacklisted for having outstanding bills with maxis. Go call their customer service and get that account details so that u can settle.
