i have canon 430ii ex, but not keen to modify it as it seems very very bulky for my liking.
p/s i will use this for bug shooting primarily

However I would say it's a very good buy.
It's a very close clone of the canon ring flash.
Difference mainly in the TTL accuracy and lack of High speed sync functionality.
Also no triggering function with your 430EXii
But it's way better(brighter) than an LED ring light.
