Canon 5ds 50mp, nikon d810 36mp or perhaps leap of faith samsung nx1 28mp with burst speed for dog/cat movement. Of course there are other alternatived depending on how big is your canvas.

Doesnt matter. The higher mp count actually have benefit of cropping as well. But usually around 16-20mp with minimal crop is enough. Most high end camera can do the job nicely. The rest depends on your artistic style either you are bokeh whore, action freeze, macro, low light or landscape photographer as each has its own camera preference. Btw pet and landscape have their own lens preference so study on that to purchase better lens than kit lens.

FYI, body only. If you buy at shop with kit lens (RM2000+), it will/may come with extra battery, charger, tripod and/or bag.

Rm1.9k +lens is more than rm2k....dont cha think? I get what you mean but a guy asking for less than 2k usually just want to start up as hobby or on budget so freebies maybe a good starting kit equipment before buying thousand ringgit gears.

Err... i dont get it since jason is the one asking <2k which you replied to. Im merely pointing out rm1.9k is body only without lens.

Nevermind, read the whole thread and found out its a joke. Anyway that still aint <rm2k with a lens.
