i think something is wrong with me. i've been squatting for the past few months. a very very casual gym goer here (once a week)
everytime i squatted, i experience severe DOMS for the week. I need almost one whole week for my legs to recover and able to walk normally again. i don't think my friends who lift have ever such problems. it's daily life-affecting kind of DOMS.

my ques is:
is it because i squat not frequent enough? due to the soreness, i squat biweekly... sweat.gif

I rarely have this problem. The worst that I had was when I started squatting. After a while, I no longer get this problem. Unless I added more weights to the bar then I might have some mild doms.

Though I squat twice per week. Maybe your body have not adjusted to it, when you say bi-weekly you mean you squat twice per week or once every 2 weeks?

I meant once every 2 weeks. Actually yesterday I tried to progressively increase the load for successive sets and the doms today isn't as bad. biggrin.gif

that should be the problem.. i squat twice per week and I add reps/weight every week... I rarely get doms
